Bridesmaids Dresses

Hey Weds,


I’m still in the early stages of planning but I have finally picked out my dress (posted below) and I have picked out the gowns for our flower girls. I’m so stuck on picking the bridesmaids dresses because I don’t want to have them outshine or look too close to me since I’m not doing white. Any suggestions?

    Don’t make any decisions regarding bridesmaids or their dresses before 6months before the wedding. Relationships will change between now and then, and asking someone to step down from being a bridesmaid will end the friendship.


    Give them a block of colors to pick from on Azazie or Cocomelody and let them pick whatever they feel most comfortable in. Bridesmaid dresses will never be worn again so keep them under $100.

    Stunning dress!!! Honestly, I think it’s really hard for bridesmaids to outshine the bride. I think you go with what looks good/fits your color scheme for the bridesmaids and your excitement/happiness will make you shine/stand out. Even if you’re not wearing white. Plus no bridesmaids dress will be as elaborate as your dress.

    My bridesmaids dresses were the same color as my ceremony gown. I don’t think anyone will look to a bridesmaid and think they are outshining or trying to outshine the bride. They know who the bride is and that’s who their eyes will be drawn to.


    You also want your girls to feel and look as beautiful as you do.

    Here is the dress for our girls to wear!!! I have been so excited but this is a wedding of me my FH and our 5 kids all together!!! I just hope you guys are right because I’m trying to shine on this special day!!!

    I would pick a color nowhere near gold or champagne. Maybe a nice burgundy or hunter green.

    I love that idea!!! We are going to do sapphire blue because that’s both our favorite colors. I just mentioned it to him and we are going to have the wedding party wear the blue and we wear mainly gold and champagne. Thank you so much🥰
