Bridesmaids Dresse's

What would be considered an economical price for a bridesmaids dress? I shared with my girls a few pictures of what I would like. Each dress was around $99-$129. All of the girls said that they couldn't afford that, and that we should order them off line so that they would be cheaper. I know usually bridesmaids dresses are more expensive than this. I have spent more money on them than these dresses. I am not sure what to do. I love all my bridesmaids, but I need some advice about pricing. I thought I was presenting economical prices but apparently not.

You should ask them about their budgets before deciding.

Then I would find something in that budget or cover the difference.

You may need to revamp your plans a bit so that you can have the people who are important to you stand up with you. Perhaps you could just ask them to purchase long or knee length black dresses. That way they can pick whatever is in their price range (or already in their closet) and the colour will be quite similar. That could look very elegant and you could pull it together with the flowers.

In my experience, average cost is $100-$200. I have been in multiple weddings and I don’t think I’ve paid less than $120 for a dress. You may need to cover the difference (although I totally feel for you here because that really adds up). My honest opinion is that $100-$120 for a dress is not unreasonable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel like your idea of pricing is reasonable, usually bridesmaid dresses are even more expensive than that. I know on Azazie most of the dresses are around $120, but they do offer cheaper options as well, worth looking into.

I feel your price range is perfectly reasonable. I think Azazie is a great option because they have a large variety of styles and prices. I have never paid under 120 for a bridesmaid dress and I think that is slightly ridiculous in my opinion that they aren't willing to pay that and think 60-70 is what they are budgeting for.

I vote for staying in their budget. Frankly, just because the "going rate" for bridesmaid dresses is one price doesn't mean it's the end-all, be-all. You can find beautiful dresses for less than that and everyone will have a much better time in something they don't have to budget for for a day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you! Yes i habe been looking at azazie. Would u suggest I get measurements and then place orders obviously way closer to our wedding. I am assuming we could find a place that does alterations.

From people I know who have ordered from Azazie, they said it’s better to order your usual size and then get alterations done. I’ve heard some horror stories of people ordering their measurements and then the dress not fitting at all.
