Bridesmaids dresses

My girls are ordering their dresses off of azazie. We’re getting married May 20th. When should I tell them they should order by?

I ordered from a different site, but followed the advice of others:

Whatever the website recommends, plus 3 weeks.

So if the site says it takes 4-6 weeks, then say 6 weeks plus 3 weeks. So have your girls order 9 weeks before the wedding.

Adding 3 weeks gives time for delay, as well as alterations

I would say 6-9 months before the wedding. My daughter will be married Sept 3 & she gave her bridesmaids a date in March. Just a heads up, We finalized the color in January & then Azazie discontinued the color in June…things can change quickly. Also, we did order matching ties & pocket squares & they look perfect next to the bridesmaid dress! It is best to be a little early rather than cutting it short…we loved doing the Azazie try at home program!! Also, people need time for alterations!

Hi I would say the earlier the better for everyone so one is waiting to long for their dresses. And that shipping time line can change at a moments notices. Plus if they have to deal with customs could be held up. And so it doesn't panic and dont want you to stress out. I hope that everything comes out ok for you

For a wedding I'm in we ordered our dresses in June for a December wedding. They came within 3 weeks and mine was custom. 4 months should be plenty.

I’m trying to remember, I think the bridesmaids dresses were ordered on 4/1 for our 7/23 wedding. I want to say they took about 4 weeks to arrive, but it’s kind of a blur! Once you have your dresses and fabric/color decided on, the site recommends ordering the them all within 24 hours of each other; that way they are from the same dye lot. Best wishes!!

Not sure depends on the cut. But make sure they all order about the same time and it’s in the same dye batch number. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and one of the other girls ordered her dress earlier and it ended up being a slightly different color. Contact the company and see what they recommend. Maybe they will have them all order and make sure they are in the same batch so they all arrive around the same time

I'd recommend having them at least do the at-home try on option soon so they can figure out roughly what size they'd need to order. My bridesmaids picked a dress from a different shop, and they were all too small, but it was too late to order all new dresses based on shipping timelines. Fortunately, I think they could all be let out, but rather not have a problem in the first place.

Echoing the above points about ordering together so they're all in the same dye lot. Also, if you know what color you want now, it may make sense just to order the dresses now so the color doesn't get discontinued. They don't need to get them hemmed or tailored until closer to the date, but better to have them and a bit of peace of mind.
