Bridesmaids dresses

Did anyone let their bridesmaids choose whatever dress they wanted as long as it’s the right color? I did I don’t see the big deal about all the dresses matching!

I did same as you as long as its in same color idc what the style is well as long as its floor length that was my second criteria floor length and dusty rose color ...but i dont think girls have to match everyone has there own body type some bigger and not as comfortable as a smaller person wearing something more fitting so each girls choice

I picked a color, fabric, and length from Azazie. It gave the girls over 100 options from $89-$169.

Yes! But I was kind of specific so they have to have a long, dusty blue dress that’s chiffon so it doesn’t look weird with different fabrics!

This is my plan too! Make a list of dresses I like and then let them pick what they think will work on their body type.

My bridesmaids were so funny when we went shopping a few weeks ago. I told them the color and that we would just have to try on different styles, lengths and fabrics to see what looked good and what didn't. My one bridesmaid was SO concerned about getting a long dress when everyone else wanted a short one.. She's like "I'm going to get it tea length so I don't stand out as much" lol I told her it didn't matter and that I've seen lots of pictures of weddings with different lengths and it looks fine!!

3 of the 5 girls liked the same dress but the other two didn't (including my MOH). They all decided that it would be weird if 3 out of the 4 non-MOH girls matched, like either 4 the same with the MOH different or all different.. even though I told them it didn't matter and literally no one would notice Smiley laugh

We ended up with 3 different dresses for 5 ladies. So 2 in one dress, 2 in another (including MOH) and 1 girl in a totally different dress. They had to rearrange themselves in the way they thought it would make sense lining up based on dresses and height and everything. Oh it was so fun to just sit and let them squabble amongst themselves. It was fun to just watch things unfold and have the final say without needing to be "in charge" of the appointment. They all bring such a different personality and perspective to the group, I love them so much!

Two of my girls picked the first dress as well! Actually, we were getting very close to having everyone in that dress

I did that! It was fun Smiley laugh none of my girls were super looking forward to it just because body insecurities, stress of picking, and money.. but I think everyone is happy with the outcome! I had a great day because I got to be with all of my best friends at once!!

That’s my MOHs dress and it looks so good on her.
My second bridesmaid got the short one. She was concerned everyone got long dresses. When I assured her I was fine with it, she replied, “good I need more legroom to dance” 🤣🤣

I told my BMs what color and it had to be long. They all picked the same dress lol. When we went dress shopping, one BM was 7months pregnant and one BM will be 9 months at the wedding...so they were trying to see what looked good with and without a belly on each other😂 My other BM picked the dress first but both pregnant girls loved it. I’m actually really happy they are matching now because I LOVE the dress. Although I loved the idea of mismatched

I'm doing what you are! As long as the dresses are mint-green and not too revealing (church wedding), I'm down for whatever they'd like!

See I’m opposite. I mean I want them to like whatever dress they’re gonna wear, but I don’t like mismatched. My fiancé and I talked about this last night actually lol. We are buying the dress. I don’t care about their shoes though, as long as they’re all the same color.

I told them Wine and Long and these are what they picked. The funny part which turned out great was the maid and matron of honors happened to pick dresses with sequin lace tops so they stand out.

I picked out the dresses. I like the matching look. Plus everytime i ask my bridal party what they like, they say it's up to me and they'll wear whatever I want them to lol so it worked out perfectly for me ☺

I'm letting mine choose which dresses they want but in the same color & length. If everyone ends up liking the same dress then they'll all wear it.

I went to David's Bridal with my five bridesmaids and told them they could get whatever dress in Malibu blue. Two of my bridesmaids picked the same dress than everyone else will have a different dress and I think they will all look beautiful together on the big day! I just knew personally my girls are all different shapes and sizes and it was going to be hard for them to all like one dress.

I think I'm going to tell my bridesmaids what color they need and then give them the choice between 3 or 4 dresses, whichever they feel the most comfortable in! All three of my ladies have different body types and complexions so I don't want to force them to wear the same thing if they don't feel like it flatters them.

I did!! My maid of honor and 3 bridesmaids I told them the color and the length but the rest was up to them. Funniest part of it all was the 3 that went all wanted to same dress(one was my maid of honor) so I asked the 4th if she wouldn’t mind or it would look a little odd... she loved the dress!! So I said they could all look different but they went for the same dress.
