Alright so my wedding is 10/10/2020, a few of my bridesmaids already have their dresses but I still have 3 that need to order still. We already went and looked at dresses I know a few were trying to lose some weight before ordering. The dresses are from Davids Bridal and only took about 2 weeks to come in before all this madness started. How late do you think is the latest they need to order? I’m hoping everything will resume back to normal by May/ June so that it won’t be an issue but is that too late for them to order?

I would say the very beginning of July! We're getting married 10/24/2020 and that's what I suggested to my girls

One of my bridesmaids ordered her dress online from David's Bridal and she had it within a week. The dress was not a special order item at that point. It became a special order item within a few weeks after she ordered it which meant it would have taken longer had she waited. That was last year so before all this crazy drama. With everything going on, I would have them order sooner rather than later that way you know for sure they will have the dresses in time.

Hi Shana,
How great that your bridesmaids already know which dress to order for your October wedding! It can be a little frustrating to have your plans in place and suddenly circumstances outside your control begin to affect ordering/delivery timelines. You're right to get ahead of it!
Typically, I believe your suggested timeframe of ordering in May/June would allow enough time to get your BM dresses by October. However, my best advice right now would be to speak directly with your dress vendor, David's Bridal, to get their specific ordering recommendations. They may be able to see their existing inventory of a specific dress style, color, size, etc.
