Bridesmaids Dresses

McKenzie, on November 25, 2019 at 7:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 13

Ugh.. so we are paying for our bridesmaids dresses, I have been set on this certain bridesmaids dress for months. Our wedding is August 8th, but I got an email from Lulu's saying that they are doing their Black friday sale and I was going to get each dress for 63 dollars instead of 84! That's quite a savings!!! I texted all my bridesmaids and asked for their sizes, that was about 1:00 I get home at 4:00 and they are sold out of the dresses in Black! There isn't a for sure restock date and I'm a planner and a stresser, so I am now stressing out and don't know what to do. Where did you all order your bridesmaids dresses?

All my girls ordered from Azazie. I wouldn’t want to order a bridesmaid dress this far out because you never know how bodies will change.

How many bridesmaids do you have and are you buying dresses for all of them?

I am sure Lulu's will restock well before your wedding. While any bit of savings helps, $21 is should not be a deal maker or breaker. Even if you pay full price, $84 is a good price for a bridesmaids dress.

84 dollars isn’t bad I’m just hoping they restock, I bought one to see how I like it and how well it fits before I order for everyone and I absolutely love it but can’t even find a basic black dress I like anywhere else. 😬 we are buying them for all of my bridesmaids, and I have 6 of them which saving 120 dollars really isn’t that much it’s more of like I’d rather not go above 100 each, but I loved this dress so much!

If you’re NYC-based, RK Bridal is great. I’m not sure if they do online, but if so, check them out. Brideside (also NYC) was a great experience. Champagne for the girls, super millennial and fun. My sisters chose their own dresses from David’s Bridal because they wanted something super inexpensive and easy. Online, I’ve heard great things about Birdy Grey and Azazie!

I ended up finding the same dresses on Azazie for 48 dollars and I found a 15% off coupon so I got all 6 dresses for 264! 💕

Super sweet of you to buy them for your bridesmaids and really smart to check the fit first. I ended up getting a Lulu's dress off of Poshmark for $10 so I could figure out if I liked the fit before buying other dresses.

I only have one bridesmaid and am letting her pick out her own dress within a color family (she picks but runs it by me first just to make sure I think the color, fabric, cut will go with the overall aesthetic of our wedding). I have suggested she pick a dress from Lulu's or some site where dresses cost under $100, because it doesn't make sense to spend a lot of money on a dress she might not wear again, but since she can pick (and she wants to buy the dress) hopefully she'll find something super versatile. Your bridesmaids are so lucky that you picked such a nice, re-wearable dress for them and you are paying for it!

I would check their refund policy.... since you have so much time, you can order them for the sale price and just wait for them to come back in stock. If for some reason they get discontinued or it gets close to your wedding, just get your money back or order something else. I’m all about sales, and wouldn't want to miss out on one either!

I loved the black because they can wear it again and it can be used for so many occasions! I just felt bad being like hey I couldn’t imagine my wedding without you, now pay for a 100 dollar dress that you might never wear again 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
