Bridesmaids dresses - long or short?

I think long dresses would be doable for your girls, as long as they're in a lightweight fabric!

I think a long dress will be nice and it won’t be too warm for your bridesmaids

Light weight fabric and thin straps would probably be perfect.

Our wedding is also in Puerto Rico, but in winter, which is slightly chiller than August. My bridesmaids opted for a short dress precisely because they wanted to feel fresh and comfortabl. Are both the ceremony and reception outside? If it just the ceremony, a long dress could be manageable. Otherwise, short dress is a much more comfortable option.
August is one of the hottest and most humid months. I am sure it is going to look great! At the last wedding I went, the bride had a ball gown, and bridesmaids had knee-length dresses. They looked very elegant and well-matched

Everything is outside - We've got a few tents that will help with the shade... We originally chose 4/3/21 but I'm getting deployed so we decided to move up our date but we were already in love with the venue.

What were the fabrics of the ballgown with the short dresses? Just out of curiosity.

I would say to the times that I have been a bridesmaid or pretty much any time the bride just took us to a bridal shop in let us choose the dresses. They may have told us the colour that they wanted us to wear but ultimately they left it up to us if we wanted to have different styles if we wanted to do short or long. Usually we would all choose the same thing that work best for all of our body types. I say instead of you making the decision even though it's your day but considering the fact that you're not sure what you prefer why don't you ask them their opinion.

I think long dresses would be prettier and there are plenty of them that aren’t hot. Just check the fabric.

The ball gown was crepe or atlas; I am not exactly sure, but it was plain fabric, no lace. and the bridesmaids wore chiffon. Good call on the tents! Helps with the shade and possible rain. Good luck

Look for dresses on Show Me Your Mumu. They have a ton of styles that would be pretty and go with the beachy theme. I personally hate short dresses but that's just my opinion

I would think a long plain dress with spaghetti straps would complement your dress beautifully.
