Bridesmaids Dress Companies - Your Experiences

Kari, on January 3, 2020 at 12:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 2 3

Instagram knows I'm searching for dresses for my MOH and mom because I'm getting adds for so many different dress companies now. I know a lot of people use David's Bridal, Azazie, and JJ's House but has anyone used Birdy Grey, Revelry, or For Her and For Him? I like the color options and selections better by Revelry and For Her and For Him, but don't know much about them.

I used For Her and For Him for my bridesmaids' dresses. I liked their color options and wide range of styles but what really drew them to me in the end was that a lot of their dresses you could make knee length for no extra cost, which was great because I wanted knee length dresses for my ladies and there were so many times I saw a dress I liked the style of the top but they were full-length. That's actually what happened with the dresses I ultimately ended up picking. I passed over them the first time because they were long and then I realized they could be made short. I got 10 swatches free to help me pick colors.

Overall I was really pleased with them. Ordering the dresses was easy (I bought them all at once and then they gave me the money. Since I was doing the dress with 3 different colors I wanted to make sure everyone got them in the correct order) and they arrived when expected. The only complaint is that most of the ladies did the custom sizing since it was a promo to do it for only $5 but then I think almost all of them still had to get their dresses altered slightly. So I would say to not bother with custom sizing if you have to pay full price for it. Or make sure your bridesmaids get measured by a professional and not take the measurements themselves (not sure if that could have been part of the problem). With the exception of the still needing alterations, no one complained about the quality, they weren't flimsy or anything. And one of my bridesmaids has already re-worn her dress for another event.

I highly recommend Revelry! They have a try on at home option if you want to have a “try on” party with your bridesmaids too. I also love their dress selections.
