Bridesmaids carrying purses instead of flowers ?

I have to agree with the ladies on this. I think that purses are something you carry on a regular basis and even an upscale purse would feel like nothing "special". I agree that I would rather nothing to see a bridal party carrying purses.

The fans are a cute idea....and different than bouquets (and more cost effective, I'm sure. If thats what you're going for)

I saw a video of the BMs carrying puppies! That was cute... Purses look silly.

The only reason I'm looking for alternatives is because we are only using white flowers . I want my bouquet to stand out over the bridal party.

Your bouquet can still stand out. Use different flowers and make it a much larger bouquet and maybe wrap it with a different cloth than theirs.

Your BM dresses are black, right? Red flowers would REALLY pop!

If you are using lilies like in the photo you could do just one lily. That's what I did for my bridesmaids. MOH had a smaller version of mine. As an added bonus I only spent $12.50 per bridesmaid lol.

My SIL did purses a few years ago..... they look totally weird in the pictures because they're awkward to hold. Then again, her whole reception was decorated with balloons- it felt like prom. haha

No purses. Even if you use all white flowers, yours can stand out... make the BMs a lot smaller, use different flowers, etc.
