Bridesmaids Bouquets

Alyssa, on July 14, 2019 at 8:05 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 21

Looking for some alternatives to getting each bridesmaid a full bouquet (because they're sooo expensive). Does anyone have any ideas for alternatives to full, fresh bridesmaids bouquets, OR flower ideas for small/cheap bouquets?

I saw another person post a picture of a single rose. I am having my girls walk down with bells. There are also the hoops. Those are pretty popular.

You can also consider non floral ideas or something like origami or buttons or whatever alternative but equally as nice

I recently saw a picture of bridesmaids who carried baby's breath bouquets and it was beautiful!

I'm planning on each member of my BP carrying a single rose! Might even tie a little ribbon around each rose, too!

This is what I’m doing! My bridesmaids will have baby’s breath bouquets. They’re very simple and very pretty! and they don’t cost an arm and a leg lol

    1) single stem real flower, 2) greenery or herbs, 3) mini lanterns, 4) DIY floral hoops. Not sure the cost of the others but I’ve seen mini lanterns on sale for $5 at various places (Target, Michaels).

If you want you could do fake silk flowers from the dollar store and make the bouquets yourself then you can make them big or small. If not you can always do the local gorcery store for single flowers or see if they can give you flowers for cheap to make the bouquets yourself. Good luck!

We are doing something a bit different... We bought a bunch of super cheap floral necklaces online through ebay and took them apart. We then made a flowerless floral bouquet using the enamel flowers, a foam ball, a dowel, ribbon, paint, and silk greenery. Once the first one was made, the rest were easy- provided you have the time and energy to do it. We prefer this because they match our wedding colors, and they are a cool take away gift for our bridesmaids. We are happy with the results because it allowed us to bring a little "us" into them.

Look at "Dutch" bouquets they are smaller yet still cute! Flowers die anyways. Another thing I've seen are flower hoops which are so different but so elegant!

Depending if you are doing real flowers, or authentic. Mine are doing a sunflower with greenery and some red berries. I’ve attended a wedding that used paper flowers. Hers were oversized paper roses. They were pretty too!

Thanks so much, Sinead! These were fun to make and are one of several of our out-of-the-box DIY projects for our big day. Our wedding colors are very summery themed with teal, golden yellow, silver, orange, royal blue, and white. A lot of colors, I know, but we are a lively couple and we love colors! Have you selected your wedding colors yet? What have you gone with?

I did smaller bouquets for my girls with a single rose and absolutely loved it! I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a big bouquet even for myself, so having something small, but beautiful was important to me.

Check out your local farms. A lot of times they can make bouquets for cheap.
