Bridesmaids and groomsmens colors are off? How bad is it?

Alexa, on May 14, 2019 at 10:09 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Hi everyone!

The wedding party was originally planning on purchasing matching, “Dusty Blue” dresses and ties from Azazie. The groomsmen have purchased their ties already, but the bridesmaids have not yet purchased their dresses.

Recently, a few of the bridesmaids mentioned the “Steel Blue” color at David’s Bridal was similar to what we had decided on. As a few of the bridesmaids are larger/curvier, they would feel more comfortable being able to try on the dresses before purchasing.

Do you think that you would be able to tell the difference with the groomsmen and bridesmaids standing next to each other? In pictures? Ugh… It is so tough to tell.

Thank you!

I think it is fine. It's not going to clash. If it bothers you, can they return the ties?

I think it will look fine! I really don't think it will clash at all since the colors are in the same family!

It should work fine but if it does bother you and you want them to get their dresses from Azazie, why not have them do the at home try on for $10

It does look like a different shade of blue to me, but honestly I think the shades compliment each other nicely!

They definitely are not the same color but I also think that because it’s only a tie it may not be as noticeable once it’s on the GM and they have their jackets on. It’s not like the tie is going to be held directly next to the dress at the ceremony. If it really bothers you see what the return policy is in the other company. If it’s free shipping free returns and they receive but it doesn’t fit than it would be no harm no foul and they just order a different size

The ties have 2 colors so they match perfectly.

I don’t think it’s bad at all. Looks like a color palette

I think it is totally fine! I actually like when things compliment and don't exactly match. I think it is pretty!

Also using steel blue dresses from DB! Woo hoo! Smiley laugh

The ties and dresses will look great together, no reason to sweat.
