Bridesmaids and groomsmen

Ugh! So my colors are Dark blue (not exactly navy) and purple with A LOT of black! I’m going for a midnight theme with Crescents and Stars dotted through a lot of the decor. My problem is that I don’t know what colors to put the party in, I thought about designating some to blue and some to purple to keep them from all looking the EXACT and to keep a flow, but I’m worried the blue will be too bright, and unfortunately I have some guys that HATE the color purple, while I have some girls that don’t look great in purple. (their words not mine) they’ve all been supportive of all of my decisions so far, and I want them to be comfortable and confident in the clothes that they wear. So that brings me to my final question, every one no matter who you are looks GREAT in black! And we all LOVE to wear it! And it goes with my theme. I’ve actually encouraged some guests to stick with darker colors, even black. I want my dress to stand out and no color makes white POP like black does. So should I have my people wear black, other than my MOH and both moms who will definitely wear purple...does it break too many wedding rules? I’m not superstitious, or super traditional at ALL, but I don’t want to take things too far and cause guests to feel uncomfortable or feel like they’re at a funeral...thoughts?!

Thank you! ❤️ I didn’t want it to look like a funeral, and I had honestly never seen it done before, so far almost all of my friends have went with blue or red, I didn’t want it to be too edgy

Black for the bridal party is gorgeous! It’s classic, universally flattering and the girls will all be able to wear their dresses again. I had a friend that did black and let al the girls pick their own dresses, it was so glamorous!
