Bridesmaid

Well do you have time to finance her dress and you have a right to be upset that she was not upfront but nothing you can do about it now so why let it get you down. Maybe she had a valid reason for not saying anything or maybe she hoped she would have gotten the money. She should have come to you but your friendship comes first. If you cannot afford her dress then maybe talk to her about the situation and see if she will be a guest unless you are okay with her wearing a different dress than the rest of the ladies. If she orders from Amazon something from the same color it may come before the wedding.

Sure, lying between friends sucks. But financial problems can be really embarrassing and all-consuming. I would try to feel your feelings and then let them go; your dear friend is hurting. If there's no time for you to buy her a dress before your wedding, then she won't be able to be a bridesmaid, which is sad, but this won't ruin your wedding unless you let it. Don't let this ruin your friendship, either.
