Bridesmaid who doesn't respond

I'm not sure there really is anything that you can do. Unfortunately, many brides get into planning zone and don't come out of it. As long as she knows the details she needs for the wedding, I would let it go and let the friendship play out however it will.

Yeah that's true! I just hope she orders her dress in time because all the other girls have ordered their dresses already!

She's obviously sidetracked. I wouldn't kick her out as there's still 6 months until your wedding and a lot can change by then. Has she tried on dresses or ordered one yet? If not, I'd just let her know that dresses need to be ordered by X date. As that date gets close, confirm she has ordered the dress. Maybe even a if your dress isn't ordered by this date you will have to sit as a guest. My girls ordered their dresses 3-4 months before my wedding and all was fine. Other than that, there's not a lot that bridesmaids "have" to do. Bridal showers and bachelorette parties are "optional" for them to host. What are you trying to get her to respond to?

No she hasn't tried on the dress or ordered it yet! I'm trying to get her to respond to let me know that she knows what dress she is wearing because we don't live in the same area!

All you can do is check in with her, she's too consumed with her own wedding. Maybe one day you can call her and talk about your wedding for 10min and then hers for 10min.

Thanks! Even if I try talking about mine at all she interupts about hers and I never even get a chance to talk about mine for even one minute!

Yeah ask her about hers but mention that you would like to talk about the planning of yours and I would even say wow you are so busy with yours, do you still want to be in mine?

Do any of the other girls know her? Maybe they could reach out if they do to say hey, we ordered our dresses, have you gotten yours yet?

Call the bridal shop and ask for the date that dresses need ordered by to be on time. Follow up with the bridesmaid and say "Hey! I just talked to the dress shop and all of the bridesmaids need to have their dresses ordered by x date. Let me know when you go try some on! Can't wait to hear what you pick!"

If she still doesn't answer, wait for the date to come and go, then ask if she got the dress. If she hasn't tell her unfortunately she will have to attend as a guest since she failed to order her dress on time.

She's just as excited and as busy as you with her wedding but she shouldn't be a bad communicator. I'd let it play out with those reminders and hope she steps up!
