Christina, on August 19, 2019 at 3:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
Ok so I know I’ve asked this question before but I need to know how tacky we will look. I have more bridesmaids than he has groomsmen. 6 vs 3 including his best man. Please help!!!!

What is tacky about that? It's highly unlikely that both halves of a couple has the exact same number of close friends. If anything is tacky, it's asking additional people to be in your bridal party just to meet a certain number.

Thanks. I was a bit worried. It would look weird to ask random people lol.

It is not tacky at all. I agree with Caytlyn that this looks more normal because it is very unlikely you both have the same exact number of close friends/family. I had 3 of my dearest friends as bridesmaids and he had his brother as his groomsman. Not a big deal. The important thing is that the people who mean the most to you are in your wedding party no matter how many are on each side.

It won't look tacky at all. I was in a wedding with 6 BM and 4 GM, we had 9 BM and 10 GM. No one noticed in either!

No big deal! If you're having everyone process, just have each guy walk with 2 girls. No one will think this is weird, i promise!

That’s not tacky at all! Not to mention if you both have who you want in your bridal party then that’s what matters. It’s your wedding and you can make it be whatever you two want. Embrace it and don’t let anyone make you doubt it.

As others have said, not tacky! If anything it kind of works best for you because 2 bridesmaids can walk with 1 groomsman evenly. I'll have 4 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen total so only one pair will be doubling up.

It’s fine. If you selected people who are close to you in your life, then why would that be “tacky” just because you went FH have different numbers?

You can have two BM walk with one GM or have a couple BM walk solo... I’ve seen that and think that looks good as well...

It's not tacky at all. I'm having 2 maids of honor and a 21 year old flower girl and he's having 2 groomsmen and a best man. It's your wedding. Do what makes you both happy!

Maybe try doubling up? Each guy walks with 2 girls. One of my cousins did that at her wedding. Everyone got a kick out of it. Hope this helps. Good luck!
