Raven, on November 16, 2014 at 4:02 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 26

Are you guys having your bridesmaids wear the same shoes. Or just pick a color and let them wear what they feel comfortable in

I was going to choose a color and let them wear whatever shoes they want. However, I have since changed my mind. They will all wear the same shoes.

I picked nude shoes. They can wear sandals, flats, or heels. Their shoes really don't matter since their dresses are long, but I'd still like them to all wear the same color.

Pick a color them them run with it. They have to be comfy. I don't want them swapping to flip flops. I hate flip flops.

Since the dresses will be long I'm letting them wear any silver shoes they want. If the dresses were short I would be picking the shoes.

I have 4 BM's and they are each wearing a different dress that they picked out, but all the same color and designer. They are short, so shoes will show. To keep it still looking cohesive, they will all wear the same shoes and jewelry. They all agreed on the shoes before I bought them.

All my BM will be wearing matching white flip flops (we are getting married on the beach) I am going to get nice ones with flowers or something on them.

I told my girls they can wear either black or silver shoes. They can choose the style.

My bridesmaids are wearing short dresses so the shoes will show. I'm thinking they will all wear the same ones

I wasn't even going to pick a colour, but they wanted me to so I did but then let them pick their own shoes. I had to buy shoes that I hated once for a wedding, so I just wanted them to be comfortable.

I'm just picking a color. I am asking them to wear a heel, they can be a kitten heel but no flats.

I chose the color and said they had to be flats. And no flip flops. My BM's don't wear heals often n and one loves wearing heals but looks funny when she walks so I wanted to nip that in the butt.

Everyone had a different foot type/fit need and heel height preference to the point where finding a single shoe that worked for everyone was going to be a nightmare. So, I had the gals get their own shoes within certain parameters: black, fabric, pee-toe, some interest on the toe (bow, ruffle, knot), some heel (no flats), preferably an enclosed heel.

The also had knee-length dresses. And, really, unless a specific shoe examination is made, I don't think the difference was worth worrying about.

I showed my girls a picture of what I had in mind, and just said silver flats. All but one of my girls has gotten the shoe I showed them, but I didn't require it.

I told them black or navy with navy dresses. Don't care if they match.

My MOH/BMs will be in black convertible dresses that are long. They can wear black heels, wedges or flats, whichever is comfortable. Their shoes won't be showing so I'm not worried. They were happy with it as well.

I told mine silver. And to please show me a pix before they purchased (one has questionable taste so I was scared of her choice, and at one time she was looking at the same shoes I was going to wear!) both, not on purpose, picked cute strappy sandals with chunky heels.

I am leaning toward letting them pick a shoe in the color in want, grey with some suggestions of what I like.

I am torn the dresses are short so the shoes will show, but I don't want to make them wear a show that isn't comfortable to them and that they won't wear again.

I am letting them pick any shoe, any color. I am also letting them pick any dress they want, I just gave a color range. I like the mismatched look, though

I just suggested that a nude or beige shoes might look best with their dress, but they can pick whatever they want. One wants heel, one wants flats. Everyone has a different comfort level so I'm just going to let them run with it.
