Bridesmaid Robes - advice?

Bridget, on February 14, 2016 at 12:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 19

I would like to buy my bridesmaids robes to get ready in - does anyone have any suggestions on more cost effective places to purchase robes?? I have 8 bridesmaids so anywhere I can save money is great since I have some other ideas for gifts as well.

Thanks!

It depends on the kind you want! For cotton floral robes, the best deal I could find with fabrics I liked was Etsy, and they were $25 each. If you want plain satin or plain cotton, checking groupon and department store sales can be a good idea. I have 6 girls so I spent a lot of time trying to get the best deal.

I got my girls' robes from The Knot on their Black Friday sale, but since you've passed that point - I would check Etsy!

Just be mindful that the cotton or terrycloth robes may create frizzies for your BMs updos. My hairstylist said that she always has to touch up more than normal when these are worn.

Etsy has packages for 10 robes for 130 bucks or something along those lines. Way cheaper than buying them separate

I got mine from The Knot Shop during their Black Friday sale. Even without a sale as big as that, I have seen them pretty reasonably priced there when they run other sales.

I bought 5 black satin ones on Amazon for less than $90. I am still debating if I will put anything on them (their names or bridesmaid etc..) or not. I'm happy with my purchase for the price I paid.

These were the best "silk" robes I ordered. I ordered a lot of them for myself before ordering for my girls. I didn't want to give them see through itchy robes lol. Not bad for $18! Thick and great quality. Avidlove Women's Kimono Robe Satin Lounge Short Style, Dark Blue, M https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0129WEFZW/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_M6oWwbSRA3ZHM

I used an app called Wish. I have bought all sorts of stuff from it. You just need to be patient with the shipping but all the bridesmaids robes and flower girls robes look great.

I ordered mine from this store. The owner was very communicative and responded within minutes. The robes are longer than the other shops based on my research. Bonus points are the price, and DEFinitely refunding the excess shipping cost. I noticed the shops that have cheaper robes, ripped you off on shipping and slow processing times. This store shipped my order the next day and i didn't even order rush processing! My fav
