Bridesmaid robe presentation

Courtney, on June 5, 2016 at 7:46 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

I bought personalized silk robes as part of the bridal party gifts. I plan to give them the robes the night before at the rehearsal dinner, but don't want them getting wrinkled in a gift bag. I want them to bring the robes the morning of to my house (where we're getting ready). Should I steam before I wrap them, or would they get wrinkled? Or I was thinking I could give them to my BMs the night before then I'll take them all back myself after dinner and steam the night before instead of them having to bring them the morning of? Opinions?

I hung mine up the week prior to get the wrinkles out then rolled them instead of folded them in the bag I gave them so there were no creases. If they're a little wrinkly no big deal.

@nowaseptmrs that's true I didn't even think to roll them! Thanks for the advice!

I say roll them but bring the steamer the morning of the wedding to get all the creases out before the pictures start.

Rolling them would work great and to add something to it you could tie a cute silk bow around it.

Where did you buy the robes from? I was thinking about doing that for my bridesmaids as well but I'm not sure where to buy them from and most websites are pretty expensive.

Roll them and bring the steamer with you the next day. Or if they are only part of the gift give them the other half and tell them they will be getting the rest in the morning.

Where did you get the robes? Are you happy with the quality?

@Miah @Mrs. Siedlecki I purchased the robes off of Etsy from SandyWatersStore. Each robe ended up being $35 which was the cheapest personalized ones I could find. It was $5 more per robe because I got both their first name on the front and their title on the back (BM, MOH, etc). She was excellent to work with though and the quality of the robes is perfect!

I got mine from blue Kennedy, but personalized myself using a Cricut. If you don’t find one I’m sure someone on Etsy can make one for you for very low cost. Saved me $30 a robe (based on Etsy prices)
