Bridesmaid proposals!

Meghan, on August 29, 2019 at 12:24 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 21
I know its not a 'must have' or anything like that, but I wanted to make it special and be a little "extra" instead of asking in person or via text (not shaming at all!).
I figured etsy would be the best option to gave customizable boxes or what not for a proposal, and quickly found out they are super expensive! I get that its a lot of different options and etsy can offer some really nice gifts, but honeslty I couldn't see myself spending $30+ on ONE proposal, especially when I plan on having 6 in my party.
I also didn't want to spend a huge chunk of money on things they may not ever use, so I decided to make my own bridesmaid proposal boxes!
I admit, they are no professional-touch high-quality job, but I'm pretty pleased with what I ended up doing! A lot of it I bought off of Amazon, and the rest wss Michaels and then the liquor store/grocery store.
All that's left to do is give them to my girls and hope they accept!

Did anyone else do anything similar?

I got the boxes off Amazon and the cookie cutters. I got the champagne splits from Total Wine and I got the candles and face masks from Bath and Body Works. In all I still probably spent $20+ per box. I also made the cards saying Your Attire, Your Role, Our Day for all the info.

Your proposal boxes are so cute! I felt the same way and wanted to do something nice for my girls. I also have 6 bridesmaids. Here are some pics of the boxes I made.

I gave them a full size bottle of wine (not crazy expensive), and decorated it. I made my own "Would you be my bridesmaid?" wine labels and gave them some wedding themed hair ties. I did everything myself. I'm planning on giving them a little goody bag when we leave for the Cruise Wedding.

I think your gift is perfect! They will love whatever you give them.

About $15/box. I included a free CD I received from buying a concert ticket in one box.

DIY is just so much nicer, and cheaper! Able to customize based on person and make sure it comes out how you want!
And you're right! A lot of the times they're just happy to be asked!
