Hi guys! I know I’m asking so many questions, I’m sorry!

I’m planning on having 5 bridesmaids in my wedding. I want to do a bridesmaid proposal and have a cute personalized boxs with gifts for each one of them. Now I’m having second thoughts due to the backlash I’ve seen online (i.e: what if they say no & it may make them feel pressured into saying yes). What you do you all think of bridesmaids proposals? Do you think they’re childish and over the top? Would it be best to ask individually? My bridesmaids include my niece (4 years apart), 3 of my childhood best friends, and my close cousin, all who assume they will a part of the weddding anyway, I just haven’t formally asked yet. Thanks!

I sent cute messages to ask and the ones that said yes im making bridesmaids boxes for them with cute customized bridesmaids things and after our ceremony we are giving bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts

I definitely think it's a "know your crowd" thing. I knew my girls would say yes (I low key asked them before asking them officially). I just did a goodie bag that had cookies I made (3 cookies, 1 cookie had our wedding date, second had their name, and the last had bridesmaid?/MOH?) and then a bag of their favorite candy as well as a bracelet I want all of them to wear the day of!

I did bridesmaid proposals and I think they are so much fun and my girls loved it. I asked them individually just in the event that one of them declined but honestly, I feel like you are asking each of them for a reason and if you had any hesitation you would find a time to talk about it! I definitely don't think they are necessary but I had a lot of fun and I think it set the tone for the rest of the wedding planning time.

I say they are fun, I did them for my 5 as well, nothing too extravagant, but still special for all my ladies. My 5th bridesmaid is actually my god daughter who is my MOH's daughter. So I asked her mom permission before asking her of course. But I still think they are a fun way to ask your bridal party. And if they all assume that you're going to ask them then I think they're not going to feel pressured but they will definitely appreciate the extra gesture you did just for them
