Bridesmaid proposal

Marissa, on July 15, 2019 at 1:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 14
I’m pretty sure I’ve posted this already but I can find it... so what did you do for your bridesmaids? Mine already know they’re involved but I still want to do something a little special for them.

I bought white wooden handles and put gold decals of their name on them. And I made them cards that had a personal message inside of them. Really affordable but they all loved it due to how personal they were.

I sent jewelry boxes with liquor shooters, nail polish & hair ties that say "to have and to hold your hair back"!

My wedding party pretty much already knew who they would be but my fiancé and I hosted a cookout at our house a few weeks ago with his guys and my girls and we gave them proposal cards I had made from zazzle.com. They were super cute and everyone loved opening them together. The cookout was in June and our wedding is April 2020 but I don’t think it matters when you do it, just whenever you’re ready!

I asked each of my girls at Christmas and made them "cozy night in" themed boxes. Each one has a monogrammed mug that matched our wedding's theme, fuzzy socks, and lots of their favorite snacks and goodies.

World Market had prosecco, rosé, or gin & tonic gummies and strawberry champagne, rosé, or mojito suckers so I got the girls each a sucker and gummy based on their fave drinks.

I am a HUGE plant lover so each girl also got a rooted cutting of my favorite pothos in a pretty glass bottle (even the black thumbed ones can keep it alive as long as the bottle is full of water. Haha) and a card where I wrote “I found my guy to *GROW* old with....” and then wrote them each a note.

I used a 40% off coupon for the candy at World Market (they always have fun candy) and I paid $1.49 at Hobby Lobby for each of the bottles for the plants during a week that glassware was half off. So in total less than $30 for 8 girls.

I wanted to avoid “bridesmaid” themed things since they’ve all been bridesmaids multiple times and I think they all appreciated that. Haha

I bought a personalized mug and a lotion for each of them. Less than $15/person.

I made my ladies cards with special messages about what I love about each of them and then gave them personalized beachy cookies (we’re having a DW on a beach).

I asked everyone to meet me for brunch. I didn’t tell them all it would be one huge group so each one thought it was a one on one with me. This was planned 14 months before my wedding. One bridesmaid is in the Peace Corps so that was the only time she would be in USA. I made them proposal boxes. Inside the card was a personalized note and a scratcher I got from Etsy. I love scratchers! I don’t feel these boxes were too personalized because I wanted to save the personalization gifts for the big day. Just the cliche stiff: wine, chocolate, ring pop, face mask, and hand sanitizer.
