I mailed customized puzzles and cards to my bridesmaids (they all live in different states). The puzzles asked them if they would be a bridesmaid. I didn't want to do anything big or fancy, or anything that would make them feel pressured to say yes. I didn't want to include gifts with the puzzles, since I'll give my wedding party their gifts at our wedding. I thought the puzzles would be fun and not pressuring at all.

That is very creative I never even thought of that. How did they like it?

I skipped doing them but I kind of regret it because it’s cute! Haha

They all loved it! The puzzle was heart shaped instead of a rectangle, so I think it took a few minutes for a few of them to figure it out (one even called me to ask if I forgot to put a few pieces in the envelope), but they all told me that they thought it was fun.

I dropped off boxes at each of their houses and asked that way. I made super cute cups for them for really cheap! Bridesmaid proposal 1

I got wine labels from amazon that said will you be my maid of honor/ bridesmaids and put it on their favorite wine. Then I got ice cream cake that said will you stand by my side 9/19/21? (We has it after dinner at my parents).

I asked via text first before I dropped the money on proposal gifts haha. After they all said yes I put together boxes with custom wine tumblers, koozies, hair ties, and sunglasses. I dropped my MOH’s off at her house, mailed one of my bridesmaids hers (out of state), and had my fiancé take the other bridesmaid (his sister) hers at her family birthday celebration because I had to unexpectedly go out of town and had to miss it.

I got plain craft boxes from hobby lobby and put white crinkle paper in them. Inside was a bath bomb, scrunchie, ring pop, face mask, and nail polish I want them to wear day-of. I also wrote a letter to each girl and included what they meant to me and how I would love to have them by my side and I say 'I do'.

As for proposing: I live near all my girls, so I met with each of them separately so it was more personal for each one!

While the idea is cute, the ladies I'm planning to ask are all over the country. So in that case a text is more practical.

Nope wouldn’t all fit and poor lady was worried with writing the text out nicely.

I just put “will you stand by my side on 9/18/21”
I loved how surprised they were cus they first thought it was just dessert until they read it! Then I gave the bottles afterwards.

We wanted cute & personal but not super expensive or full of items. We both got nice cards from Etsy (mine said “I can’t even without you” & my partner’s said “time to suit up”), wrote very personalized notes, & made cookies (Italian knots! We liked the wedding punny-ness haha). The cookies were packed up nicely with cupcake wrappers & in boxes. Four of our six boxes had to be mailed. When we added up the cards, packing supplies, & shipping & averaged between the 6, it came out to $9.50 each.

Our original dream plan was to host a cookout with all six in attendance & give them cards in person, but COVID combined with four of them not living nearby meant that wouldn’t work.

They did! A couple of them teared up a little when reading their letters!

I also wanted to do each separately so they didn't feel like they HAD to say yes if they were around all the other girls!

I got videos for my girls on Cameo.com. I figured out some celebs they admired and got them those videos for fun. They all loved it, I didn't have to worry about shipping and when you factor in the cost of items plus shipping plus, I think it came out the same. Plus they can watch them over and over and not have a bunch of stuff hanging around that they might not want. Smiley smile
