Bridesmaid proposal boxes?

Nicole, on December 7, 2021 at 1:54 PM Posted in Planning 6 13
What have you received/given in bridesmaid proposal boxes that you really like? I want to give my crew stuff that they will actually enjoy.

I didn't do proposal boxes, but instead I gave my bridesmaids each a customized puzzle that asked them to be a bridesmaid! If you do decide to do proposal boxes, I would recommend giving them to everyone after you ask and after they accept, just so the boxes don't put any pressure on them to say yes. You could put things like a mini champagne bottle, chocolate, and a customized wine glass in the boxes, which they could immediately use to celebrate!

I gave my ladies a donut Smiley smile (and a hand written letter to formally ask!)

Cheap, simple, sweet, and delicious! I view bridesmaid proposals as nothing more than a one time photo op, so it doesn't make sense to spend a lot of money on things that say "bridesmaid" on it if it'll be obsolete after the wedding. My advice is to save your time and money on a nicer thank you gift for after the wedding because the funds of need vs. want add up very quickly as you approach your date.

You can honestly do whatever you want! Smiley smile
For my girls I got them proposal boxes and filled them with a mini notebook, cute diamond pens, and then this kit that came with team bride mirrors, hair ties, and bracelets I believe. Oh, and mini champagne bottles.
I got all of these from Amazon and Target. I made sure to get whatever the cheapest price was to stay within budget lol. In total I think I spent around $50-60 in total for all 4 of my girls.
If anything you can always do something simple like what PP have done for their girls and splurge a little more on gifts later if you'd like. Personally, I didn't mind spending a bit more for my girls considering that they did SO much on my bachelorette trip which they really didn't have to Smiley heart

I bought my my wedding party these premium gift boxes off Etsy. Currently waiting for them to come in. I think you could do anything really, depending on your style.

I asked all my girls first, so there wasn't pressure to say yes because of a gift. I gave them gifts after they said yes, and in those boxes I had mini wine bottles (because I knew all six liked wine more than champagne), wine tumblers, under eye patches, a bracelet and a hand written thank you card for them saying yes!

For our destination wedding, I got them all a candle in their favorite scent with a sticker label that has their name and role on it, a satin scrunchie in their favorite color, and a luggage tag that suited their personality (MOH's says "See ya", bestie who loves Beauty and the Beast got one that says "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere" etc). Not too expensive, but still something personalized to them but that they can use for the wedding and after!

I did a box with a customized mug, some chocolates, some jewelry to wear for the wedding that is theirs now, a sort of wedding themed pen, a team bride zip up bag and a “will you be…” card. And then I will give thank you boxes to them after

Can I ask What you wrote in your letters? Im not good with my words and am struggling on what to say to the people I’m not super close with.

Well I don’t remember exactly what I wrote, but I think I started with a personal message of how important of a role each lady has played in my life, and then I ended by asking if they would do me the honor of standing in my wedding.

But with that being said, I opted for a smaller bridal party (4) because I really wanted to keep things intimate and meaningful with the ladies I am completely closest with. If I can celebrate my small wins with them I want to celebrate my big wins too. So really consider who you’re asking and why - do you really want them there or are you asking because you “want to be polite” or want their faces in your photos?

I'm putting a mini bottle of champagne, earrings they can wear in the wedding, and a beauty set that comes in a travel bag.

I plan on filling a box with mini bottle of champagne, customized champagne flute with their name on it, and chocolate covered strawberries. I will include a Bridesmaid Info Card.

I'm working on putting mine together too! I decided to go with a travel jewelry case with their names on them. I wanted to stay away from having anything say "MOH" or "Bridesmaid" on it so they can use it after my wedding. I plan on putting a mini champagne bottle for one, and sparking cider for the other two (one is currently pregnant and the other is 13!). I'm adding some chocolate and maybe a candle/bath bomb to it too. I wanted to keep it simple, inexpensive but fun!
