Bridesmaid Is a Horrible Friend

Cameron, on March 31, 2022 at 10:32 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
I got married this past weekend. My wedding day was absolutely amazing. My husband and I and all of our guests had the best time ever. I had 1 MOH and 2 Bridesmaids. MOH & Bridesmaid A were amazing and so attentive. Bridesmaid B had given me some issues leading up to the wedding and then was completely sour and on her phone the whole reception. 2 days before the wedding she texted me to ask if she could bring a random guy to the wedding that i didn’t know. First, it was 48 hours before and I was shocked she would do that. When I said no, that started the issues. She was mad ever since that. On the wedding day, I paid for everyone’s makeup and hair and she never said thank you. During the reception, she didn’t talk to me once and she sat on her phone the whole night. After the wedding, I went on my honeymoon and one of her jobs was to make sure my veil went back to my house. My mother questioned her 2 times about where it was to make sure (nicely) and bridesmaid called my mother a monster and said other harsh things.
This whole planning process she never helped me once and then today she told me I was insane.
I am so upset over this. I do not deserve this.

I'm sorry this happened! You're right, you do deserve any of that!

    That sucks to hear.

at this point though it's about whether you can forgive and most past it with her or just change the course of your friendship

That’s very childish behavior basically throwing a fit because she didn’t get her way. It sounds like you don’t need this type of person as a friend.

Wow, sounds like she really did not act her best. I guess time will tell if you can truly move past this with her.

Look on the brightside: since your wedding is over, you don't have to deal with her ever again. Cut her loose and enjoy life without her đź’™ because you're right, don't deserve to be treated that way!
