Bridesmaid Information Sheet/Newsletter

Tyeisha, on November 5, 2015 at 7:46 AM Posted in Planning 0 22

Hey ladies, I want to put together an info sheet or newsletter that provides the bridesmaid with important info like dress, shoes, hotel, hair and some fun info. Does anyone have a template they could share?

Also, currently we are using group me to communicate but one of the bridesmaids suggested having important info emailed.

I have 7 bridesmaid and 1 maid of honor

I would really just send a mass email that hits all the big points. No one is gong to keep track of a physical info sheet for a wedding that's still almost 6 months away. I listed how I knew each girl at the top (we're all out of state), reminded them of the date of the wedding (and rehearsal, if they could make it), listed some details about dress/accessories/hair and make up, added the hotel info, and called it good.

I just sent mass emails when the important things came up. Like once we decided on bridesmaid dresses, I emailed them sales. And when the rehearsal and dinner were scheduled I sent them all of that information.

I made a private facebook group for the bridal party. Everyone seemed to check that more frequently than email. I haven't used it much to be honest, but it will be great for sharing details now that we are closer.

I think this is one of the things that is "fun" for the bride and seems cute, but to someone who is a friend and the wedding is important but not the center of their universe - not as fun. I would email like everyone else said. When I was in a wedding two years ago emails were great because I could store them online and pull them up as needed easily. Theoretically, you could do that in word and find a template to do so and then just email the document - I just wouldn't bother printing them out because I think they'll get lost.

I'm sure Word has some templates. When you go to create a new document there are multiple ones to choose from or you could create your own use borders and text boxes. While you don't have to, I do think its a cute idea.

We sent a mass email to the whole bp with hotel info. Then I sent one with hair and dress info to the bms. I will probably send one to two more emails before the wedding. I don't really see a need for a formal newsletter. I would just communicate the info as needed.

A newsletter sounds time consuming and not worth it. I just sent out an email with information to all of them. Easy and fast. I wouldn't waste your time on something like this.

I wouldn't spend time on a newsletter. It's one of those things that you think is cute, but your bridal party won't care at all. I would definitely just email it.

If you really want to make it a newsletter, I would stick to just typing it on word and put everything in different sections.

Anyone remember the bride with the binders for each BM? She turned into a bit of a 'zilla at the end and demanded a LOT of her BMs (I think one or two even dropped out?).

Just send out the information in a mass email or on facebook. We did all of our communicating through FB so they could connect (since my BMs were all from different parts of the country) and they could get to know each other.

There isn't really anything fun about newsletters, just send an email

A binder for each bridesmaid is entirely too much but hey whatever works for that bride

Thanks for the opinions but I was actually looking for a template if anyone wanted to share. Either newsletter or email

    Thanks

Just wanted to agree that important information should also be emailed! You want your bms to be able to look up that info easily, and papers can get lost and with groupme they'd have to scroll back and search for the info. So definitely also send an email with important information!

It's online newsletter that would be emailed. Easily accessed by bms on the phone.
