Bridesmaid Hair and makeup prices

I am a bridesmaid in my friends upcoming wedding and want to get my hair and makeup professionally done. She said if I wanted to get both services done by the same person she will be getting hers done then it will be $260 for me. Is that a reasonable price or is that too expensive? I am not sure what the average price is for these services.

I think it will vary a lot by area. I am paying for all my girl’s makeup (One of the BMs is a hairstylist, so she will be doing their hair), and I am paying over $200 per person just for make up.

It will depend on where you're located, but that does sound a bit on the pricey side for a bridesmaid. I'm in a high cost of living city, and my bridesmaids makeup cost $90 per person and their hair cost anywhere between $100-130 depending on the style each girl selected. But I paid for all of my girls to get hair and makeup done so I was more price-conscious when selecting the vendors. Does the $260 include other fees?

This varies based on geographical location. However, where I live (central NC), that is very expensive for bridesmaid hair and make up.

Like others have said, this depends on location.
I live in Georgia, and it's going to be $70/person for makeup. Haven't decided a hair stylist yet, but the ones I've been looking at are around $100. My ladies aren't letting me pay for them, and since I'm just wanting them to have curled hair, they more than likely won't get their hair done!
The artist I'm wanting to go with is in central Georgia (Athens, Commerce, Milledgeville). I did inquire with an artist in Atlanta, GA, and she was $500 JUST for the bridal makeup+trial. So I quickly crossed her off of the list lol. This is just an idea to show how prices vary greatly by area!

When I was a bridesmaid I paid around $120-$180 for hair and makeup. The ladies I got it done from were friends of friends who were just really good at doing makeup. I feel like $260 is perfectly normal if it's getting done professionally.

You have to get price quotes in your area. No two people on these forums are paying the same price even in the same city.

Prices will definitely vary by location. For example, I got my hair done at a salon for a wedding in Cleveland, OH for $45 but my bridesmaids are paying $85 to get their hair done (and another $85 for makeup) at my venue in Baltimore, MD.

This will definitely vary. If you’re in NY or SoCal this might be pretty normal. My bridesmaids were about $85/service so $170 total

Depends on your location! For reference, I'm in SC and my bridal hair and makeup are half of that. So to me, it would be kind of expensive as a bridesmaid to pay that - but like others have said, it may be reasonable in your area!

For my hair and makeup team bride hair cost 125 and makeup 125. Wedding party is 95 hair 95 makeup and flower girl is 65 hair. I think every place varies though.

Really depends on location! That’s on par (a bit higher) for two services for wedding party for the quotes I got. I wonder if she can show you the Instagram or portfolio of the person before you decide?
