Bridesmaid Gifts?

Brooke, on July 1, 2019 at 12:13 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 25
What are y'all doing for bridesmaid gifts? I'm trying to decide between getting them an emerald necklace to go with their dresses, or robes? But then again, I cannot find any affordable CUTE bridesmaid robes... HELP?!

I wasn’t a fan of getting my girls something that would just be a prop for my pictures that they would never wear or use again. I got my girls a gift card to a place they like.

Neither of those things are gifts, they're props for your photos. We're giving our bridesmaids gifts personalized to each of their own hobbies and interests. My tattoo artist friend is getting a personalized leather sketchbook, my whiskey loving friend is getting a personalized flask and etched glasses, etc.

I plan to go the gift card route as well. One is a new mom to twins, the other has a permanent IV drip for coffee. They’re both getting Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts gift cards!

After my bridal shower I handed them bath salts and a gift card
For my bachelorette I handed them bride tribe tees and a hangover kit
At rehearsal dinner the night before wedding day I handed them these tote bags that say bridal entourage and it had a compact mirror, face masks and lotion, a necklace and bracelet (they're bowknots with a card that said thanks for helping me tie the knot), hair ties, themed socks.

Oops, good thing I know that now! those sound like great ideas, I think I'm definitely going to go the route of personalizing each item to them. Thanks!

I wouldn’t consider something they are expected to wear day of the wedding a gift, maybe part of their gift, but I would also get something specifically for each girl as a thank you based on their tastes and interests.

I did electric wine bottle openers, a bottle of their favorite wine, and a rose gold bar necklace with their anniversary dates etched into them

I got them a getting ready outfit (I gave each girl a couple options and they picked what they would prefer), a tote, a tumbler, and a letter from me. I'm still debating on getting glitter hangers for each girl. I'm paying for hair and makeup too if they want it. I'm thinking I'll put one personal item in too, whether it's socks or flip flops or lotion or a candle!

I got each of my girls blanket scarves, robes, earrings, bracelets, and makeup brushes. The scarves, earrings, and brushes were all the same item. The robes and bracelets were tailored to each girls' style.

I bought my girls their earrings for the wedding, a candle, face mask, bath bomb, lotion, and hand sanitizer. I think I'll put in some candy too!

I'm apparently doing it wrong but I'm cheap and getting my bridesmaids jewelry. I don't have a lot of money and I saw some cute jewelry that they can wear for other occasions as well.

I got them robes to get ready but not as an actual gift. Of course they got to keep them but it wasn’t wrapped. I got them personalize travel tags for the luggage only with their first name as none of them are married. A jewelry set of earrings and bracelet to wear. A piece of make up whether was a highlighter or lipstick from Chanel or YSL and a Sephora gift card. They all love make up and traveling so I went with that. The jewelry set they’re able to reuse but didn’t feel like an actual present since it was for them to use it for our wedding.

I am doing robes, tote bags with their names, and writing each person a personalized note thanking them for being part of my special day.
