What are y’all getting your bridesmaids as gifts to give them before the wedding?

Yes to all of this! When you're buying gifts for someone, think about whether or not you would actually use it post wedding. Anything you are "requiring" them to have (robes for pictures, hair/makeup, etc aside from the dress) aren't considered gifts. I personally shy away from "stuff" and try to give experiences or gift cards to places I know people will shop at.

Think of things that they would actually appreciate as friends not bridesmaids. They don't need to be identical or even similar. High end beans for the coffee drinker, paint brushes for the hobby painter, camping gear for the outdoorsy girl, nice headphones for the music lover, Sephora card for the makeup guru, a special edition of a favorite book for the reader, you get the idea

The night before the wedding I had given them a dress shirt with their name embroidered on it, a makeup bag with their name, a cute wood hanger with their name spelled out in wire, some lotion, champagne gummy bears, a bottle of water, a pack of pedialyte and Advil.

Inside my proposal boxes, I had put a “will you be my bridesmaid/MOH?” card which also contained a necklace, small bottle of wine, stemless wine glasses that I personally etched their names on, some caramel chews my MIL made, and some champagne gummy bears.

I bought them robes, earrings to wear on the big day and a personalized makeup bag and tote bag. Also I am putting money toward their hair and makeup costs.

I took the advice on this forum and am shopping for each girl like it's her birthday. I agree with PP that if you are getting them something to use for the wedding it's technically not a "gift" - robes, shirts, jewelry or shoes.

    Those are props, not gifts.
