Bridesmaid gift

I think it's a nice idea, but these items are props for your photos and don't really count as thank you gifts for your bridesmaids. If you're going to do this, I would also add something that's more personal to their hobbies or interests.

I’m personally not a fan of things that need to be worn for the wedding as a gift but you know your girls best.

Those aren’t gifts. They’re props.

I do not really think of them as props I don’t care if they wear them or not. Since I️t is March I figured they may be cold and black goes with everything so I thought I️t was a thoughtful idea to keep my girls warm... but thank you guys for your thoughts

I agree with the other PPs. Those items are not really considered gifts since they are meant to be worn for your wedding. You can still give the girls those items but also add something more personal that they would use or wear not for your wedding.

As for would it be too much if you all wore faux fur shawls? No. I wore a vintage stole and gave my bridal party faux fur wraps to wear. It looked fine.

I think it's cute to all be in shawls and I like your idea for the gifts! I would maybe add in a bottle of their favorite wine too or something like that to personalize each gift

It would depend on who your bridesmaids are as people. I personally, would probably never wear a faux black shawl again. I don't do many things that would require a shawl. I also have super sensitive ears, so I can only wear white gold earrings or they get itchy & infected. I think having everyone wear a shawl is totally fine.

Even if you weren't using them in photos, that's not something I would ever wear. So I'd shy away from any clothing/jewelry things that are different from the norm.
