Bridesmaid gift amount?

They are still buying the dress, taking time off (if the have to) to come to the rehearsal (unless you're not having one), and standing next to you and supporting you on your big day, which fits the "duties". All the things you described that they haven't done or couldn't participate are just bonuses.

You give gifts to your bridal party to show appreciation for them as your closest friends. Some gifts are handwritten sentimental cards with maybe a gift card, others are tailored to the friends interests and hobbies. There isn't really a range.

I agree with what Janet said. Its showing appreciation for standing with you on your special day. You don't have to spend a ton but make sure its even, you could spend more on your MOH if you wanted. Just write a nice note and give a gift card or something.

I spent $30 on my junior bridesmaid and $75-100 on my matron of honor. My fiance spent $15 on each GM & BM.
