Bridesmaid Dresses?

Ashley, on August 27, 2019 at 1:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
My maids and I picked out their dresses back on June 8th. My girls are split between Atlanta (where we live) and Savannah( our home town). When we went, they said that it was too early for my girls to order their dresses( our date is 04/04/2020) even though some of my girls had their money that day. Today, some of my maids reached out to me wanting to know if they could go ahead and order them. I called the David's Bridal we went to, but they did not have any info for us, they did not have the dress we chose and are now saying that my girls need to wait until January to order?!?! Has anyone had this type of issue with DB? My FH and groomsmen were able to put deposits down on their tuxes already. One of my BMs is pregnant( she will have the baby before the wedding) and wants to get measured before she gets too big.

I've never heard of DB telling customers that it's too early to order. Could you just cut out the middle man and order online?

I agree with Caytlyn. Most bridal shops are so eager to make a sale, so I find this strange. I agree that online ordering is a good option!

Maybe I should try that! My girls need to get measured first I thought.

They don't have to be measured first if they know their dress size, but it's definitely recommended. Maybe they could measure each other or have another friend, family member, or whoever do it for them?

Well thats really weird cause we have the same wedding date and my girls were able to order them in July when we went to try on. Sound like someone at David's Bridal dropped the ball!

All three of mine ordered from DB online, and they could include their measurements (they all sew, so they knew how). If not, tell them to look at the sizing chart first. Smiley smile

They can go to any seamstress and get measured. I agree that if these are the dresses you want, you should probably order online.

This sounds like typical David's Bridal... my experience with them, no matter the location, is that their consultants are incompetent and/or rude. But I used them for BM dresses because they are everywhere and you can go into a store and try on a dress for size. If all my BM were in the same city, I would not go to DB.

I wish I never went to David's bridal for my wedding dress. I just couldnt find any shops locally other than them then of course after I order a dress I find them. But couldnt return my dress so I had to just exchange for another...worst mistake ever
