Bridesmaid dresses

I was always told 6 months!

I would tell them what dress to order and how long they generally take to arrive then leave it be.

We were told to order bridesmaid dresses about 6 months out.

I'm about 4 months out and just (by chance) found out that my girls need to order them ASAP if we want them to get in on time... OOPS! 6 probably would've been the best bet.

I think a timeline of at least 6 months (especially if they need alterations) is best. If you don’t give a time then you might end up with a girl or two that forget and order them late. This happened to me and one of my bridesmaids doesn’t know if her dress will be in on time.

I think it depends where from. Some of mine got theirs off Amazon so it didn't take long. But if it's custom then you should do it more in advance. One of my bridesmaids got an azazie custom dress and it took a month to get to her.

I ordered mine in May for my October wedding. They just got here at the mid of June. I rather have it too early than late. I had them look over a couple of dresses I chose and had them pick which one they liked. No one will have the same dress.

That lady at davids bridal told me 4 so thats what i told my girls. Hopefully they get in intime for alterations

I said end of March for our July wedding. Azazie takes 2 months at most, so they would have them by the end of May and have 1.5 months for alterations.

Yeah! I told them 14 months out so they had basically a year to order. It helped because they do a 15% off for black friday sale (usually) and some 10% off sales here and there. Two of my girls opted to do at home try ons, one ordered custom sizing.

I made sure my girls had their dresses ordered so when they came in we would be 6 months out. Luckily the dresses came in even sooner than we hoped and they had them by February! Honestly you could probably get away with 4 months because we are just about 3 months out and the girls are just now starting any alterations that are needed. However, I do recommend Azazie for bridesmaids dresses because they offer a custom sizing option for free which helps a lot of alterations! The only alterations my girls need is the hem of their dresses.

I would just tell them what to buy and then let them handle it.
