Bridesmaid dresses

Meghan, on January 6, 2021 at 8:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Hey !

I went with one sister to try on dresses and scheduling an appointment with everyone else to go try them on.
We found these two that we loved, but curious to see what you think.
We loveddddd the sparkle one most and it came in everyone’s size. (1st pic)
The sparkle one was absolutely stunning but also wondering if the dress would outshine the BM? (2nd pic—-also dont mind my socks 🤣 )
Both of them would need to be ordered ASAP since they’re limited and take a while to get in. (September wedding).Bridesmaid dresses 1Bridesmaid dresses 2

One BM wasn’t crazy about them because she thought the sparkle looked cheesy. Do you think so? Def want everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful.
I know we’ll probably try on other dresses at our appointment too, just wanted to get some perspectives on them.

(These are also from davids bridal. The sparkle is $199/139 - depending on size - and sequin is $200 (30% off but needs to be ordered like this week).

The 2nd one is my favorite! If you are having a more formal wedding, I think either of these would be great options!

The first dress is classic, sexy and definitely better than the second. The second dress looks a little matronly, the way the fabric gathers. But if you want to use both, maybe the first dress can be for the bridesmaids and the second dress can be for the MOH.

They are both pretty! I can tell you from experience that if someone is expressing that they don't like the dress then I probably wouldn't force them to wear it. I had wanted a uniform look with all of my girls in one dress and it ended up being a nightmare. My sister, who was my maid of honor, told me seven days prior to the wedding that she hated the dress that was decided on even though she told me at the time she liked it and she wouldn't be comfortable being photographer in it. Needless to say, it was very stressful and I ended up purchasing her a completely different dress seven days prior to the wedding and we got lucky that our seamstress was amazing and altered the dress within a day.

Exactly and I wouldn’t want anyone to be uncomfortable. Also told them that I’m open to different colors and each of them wearing different dress.we have an appointment in two weeks with everyone so looking forward to that!

I love the first dress. Not crazy about the bottom The first dress would not distract from your wedding dress but the 2nd will. If they don't like them, keep looking. Everyone should be happy and comfy as possible because bridesmaid dresses are not everyone's favorite thing to wear.

I prefer the little more subtle sparkle, but bot would be nice. Just make sure each tries on any sequin dress and walks around a bit with ams moving normally. Some are unbearably itch and even hurtful on bare arms, with the sequins sewn so sharp edges from cut plastic discs sticking out all the way to the armhole at underarm, instead of leaving a 1-2 inch semi- circle of bare satin under arms as a dressmaker would. ass produced gowns often cut from fabric which already has sequins all over, so where pieces are cut near openings some are sharp with pointy edges sharp as the tip of a steak knife. Some makes, QC snips off any near the underarm and at neck edges near breasts curve. Others don't.

I love sparkle so I love both. They are NOT cheesy. If you want glam get it lol! The top would likely be more flattering to more body types but the bottom one is more glam which I love and the waist pattern is flattering

I think I like the 1st one a bit more. I think the sparkle is more subtle in it. The 2 look good together though, so maybe you can have the girls choose between the 2 styles and have a mix?
