Bridesmaid Dresses

What do you think of this dress? The colour will be navy/dark blue.

I prefer this one but with the first ones 'sash', I just can't get it in the sizes I need as everyone is sold out in the Navy.

What would be a nice alternative? What colour shoes should they were; navy, black or silver? I'm having 3 bridesmaids, would like their dresses to be navy/dark blue (I was going for a grecian style or pixie style, but open to anything). This is my preferred dress but it's hard to get it in the sizes and colour I require, people also keep telling me I should put lace in the gap at the back and have to shorter but not the standard dress length (needs to be covering the knees). My 3 older sisters are my MOH and bridesmaids, ones a size 8 (5'3 height), ones size 16 (5'3) and my MOH is size 20 (5'6).
These are a few alternatives I've been looking at:

Bridesmaid Dresses 6
Not sure which of the 4 dresses I should go with or if I should get them custom made to incorporate all features (it'll cost more to get custom made though). Or should I keep looking? Was originally looking for grecian style dresses.

First you need to decide if you want long or short or if you want lace. It's not up to others unless you plan on allowing each bridesmaid to pick their own dress style. For shoes, I would think silver or nude would look best with navy/dark blue.

I'm personally a fan of floor length dresses for a couple reasons. One, you don't have to be concerned if someone misses a spot shaving, has a cut/ bruise on their leg, or just doesn't like the appearance of their bare legs for whatever reason. Two, you can get away with any kind of shoe since they won't really show if the dress goes to the floor, so you can let your bridesmaids wear whatever kind of shoe they'd be most comfortable in. Three, they look more formal.

I think the first dress and second look similar enough that if you like the sash on the first one and it's easier to get in all the different sizes you'll need, you should go with the first dress.

My MOH prefers longer dresses so hers would be long. It had also been suggested to me that with the long dress option I could have them shortened if the style didn't look odd being done so. Lace is part of our theme (I'll be having lace in my dress also).

It's tricky discussing with my bridesmaids as I find talking in person is easier but only my MOH lives in town the other 2 live on opposite sides of the country. My MOH also said that she doesn't care what she wears as long as it looks good on someone whose on the bigger side.
I'd prefer them all to wear the same dress but am happy to have them being different lengths if that's what they prefer. Having the pixie style dresses is so my thing (even goes with part of our theme; Pink, Navy, Pearls, Butterflies and Galaxy) as I love Butterflies and Fairies but it's not exactly theirs.

I think having different dresses is fine but I would either have them all short or all long. I wouldn't mix and match the lengths especially since one girl is taller than the other two.

I would also do a poll of your bridesmaids since you’re undecided. You never know what their preferences/insecurities are. Also, does venue/weather matter? I ended up going with short dresses because it’ll be in the 90s for our outdoor ceremony, so we’re having the ladies wear knee length dresses and the men do vests only, no jacket so they’re not passing out in the middle of the ceremony lol. But we’re also doing a more casual vibe, so that wouldn’t work if we wanted to be super formal.

I vote long dresses all they way. Shoes don't matter, and everyone looks more similar (if that's the vibe you want). With shorter dresses, even if they cover everyones knees, it's going to look a bunch of different lengths in photos becuase everyone is a different height and some have longer legs, etc. This style is very common so i'd probably just provide these pics as "inspiration" and let them all pick a long navy dress that matches this style.
