Bridesmaid dresses

Megan, on February 19, 2020 at 2:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Hello all!

Does anyone have any good recommendations on Bridesmaid dresses? I love some dresses from BHLDN but they might be a little too pricey for all my girls, although they are so lovely. I would like good quality and I want them to all match (a very light blush). I also have one Bridesmaid from out of town which makes going in for a fitting difficult. I really don't want to go the David's Bridal route. Has anyone done online? Who did you use? Did it work? Were sizes accurate when you received them? Any help is much appreciated!

I got my bridesmaid dresses off of Amazon! I had my MOH as my guinea pig, since she lives in town, and we tried a couple dresses on her. We did have to send a couple back because we didn't like the workmanship, but Amazon refunds at 100% if you send things back in the same condition you got it (and within a specific time frame). The dress I settled on was only 55 dollars, and it looks beautiful on all of my girls! Super excited.

I ended up with David's bridal, but know of people who use azazzie online and had no issues. You can order color swatches, sample dresses, and custom sizing.

We are ordering from Azazie! One of my bridesmaids was in a wedding and they used the site and the dresses were amazing. Even better that they will send color swatches before. You can even pay like $10 to try a dress on.

Also, I’ve been in another wedding where we ordered some from Etsy for about $80 and they were absolutely beautiful 😍

Agreed! That’s what we’re doing. I picked the color and am letting my bridesmaids order any dress they like as long as it’s long and in the color I selected. Makes it easier for everyone to pick what looks good on them and what’s in their budget.

We used Birdy Grey. I think the dresses are great! My matron of honor ordered a dress so that we could see the quality and fit before all the other girls ordered. They all tried the dress on and agreed that the fit is pretty spot on, they just are a touch long and may need to be shortened. All the dresses are $99, which I think is an awesome price. They do have a blush color, and you can get swatches if you want to see the color in person. I think it's worth checking out.

I had my girls go through Lulu’s since they were spread out in 3 different states. Shopping was super quick, less than a week for us. Sizing was accurate for the most part, though one girl did do a size exchange to better accommodate her chest. That was free and easy to do. We went with a non-bridesmaid dress that was still appropriate for special occasions and easy to rewear, but they do have a bridal/bridesmaid section for more traditional looking dresses. You can also look at reviews for customer photos and discussion of sizing accuracy. I highly recommend them!

I’ve used Revelry and really like their selection of dresses and materials. Dresses run around $185. I really wanted velvet dresses (didn’t end up going that route) but was looking into using them for my own wedding because I loved what they had.
