Bridesmaid dresses

I am looking to get bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal, I got my dress there too. I’m getting married October 2020. When is the best time to go shopping with the girls? My dress came in super quick but I was to have enough time for them to get alterations if needed.

I would wait until about 3-4 months before your wedding date. Most dresses will come in within a month except for a select few. My girls got their dresses from David's Bridal and theirs came in after just a couple of weeks!

I did have to order a different junior bridesmaid dress for one of my flower girls (she's 11) because the one I wanted would have taken almost four months to come in. So other than a select few, most of them come in relatively quickly. But they should be able to tell you when you're at the shop Smiley smile

Since you're a month behind me I say either go dress shopping by Jan or early February.

We went shopping in November for our July wedding. I planned on having the girls get their dresses from a small bridal boutique rather than David's Bridal and small bridal boutiques usually take longer to get their dresses in. However, none of the smaller bridal boutiques had anything in the color or price range so we ended up at David's Bridal after all. It took about a month for the dresses to come in so we really didn't need to go shopping that early after all. Some of the girls didn't order their dresses right away. They asked the assistant at David's Bridal the latest recommended time for ordering and they were told no later than April. Luckily, the last dress was ordered at the beginning of April because by mid-April the dress was considered a special order item and wouldn't have arrived until about a week before the wedding. As long as you don't select a dress that is a special order item then you should be okay. I will warn that at the time of selecting my girls dress that it wasn't special order so things can change.

    Hey Sarah!

Have you asked Badid’s bridal the typical delivery time for BM dresses? This will definitely be helpful to know before making a final decision.

I would recommend ordering them roughly 4 to 6 months before your wedding just in case there is a delay with the delivery and this will also leave time for any alterations that need to be done.

Do you have an idea of what style or color dress you want your girl to wear?
