Bridesmaid dresses

Jen, on February 19, 2020 at 6:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
Hello everyone! I was wondering when should the latest be for my girls ordering their bridesmaid dresses? My wedding is in October 3rd 2020. I am letting them pick their style dress with each having a different shade of blue so they are looking at many options. As of right now 2 of my girls have their dress but 5 are still looking.

It depends on where you’re ordering from. For instance Azazie is having really long production times so some places could at least give you an estimate of time in how long it’d take to make and ship

My wedding is end of September and we're going shopping for their dresses this Saturday. I think it's early but I would start panicking if they didn't have a dress by June

We looked at David’s Bridal but I am very flexible where they shop at.

So I was thinking deadline by May? I don’t want to be pushy, but I rather be safe than sorry. 😁

My wedding is Oct. 25th and we plan to go looking on the 29th of this month. The bridal shop where we are going said it can take up to 4 months to come in so the sooner the better just in case they also need alterations.

My date is 10-4 and we are going shopping in mid March. I heard that a lot of stores are delayed because of the Corona virus in Asia that there is less shipping out from there and some businesses are closed. I would get them no later than end of April which is 6 months out. I’m a bridesmaid in July ordered my dress in January and it won’t be here until May so 5 months. And you always need at least a month or two buffer for order mix ups and alterations.

I’m also getting married that day, congrats☺️! I’m going with May or beginning of June, in case there is any issues or needed alterations.

We are ordering dresses from Azazie, they have recommended we order in May. My wedding is September 12th. Production time has increased due to the corona virus.

Thank you ladies! I was worried with reading other messages on here about the Corona virus causing delays. One of my bridesmaids said I should make the deadline July and that made me very anxious. 😟

Congrats to you too Megan! So cool to connect with people who are having a wedding on the same day! 😊

My bridesmaids have to order their dresses by 4/1 for our 10/4 wedding due to the coronavirus. It was originally 5/15

    Hi Jen,
All my married girlfriends told me to make sure all the dresses were ordered 7 months before the wedding, I'm giving my girls the dresses as gifts so I'll have them in April for my Feb. 2021 wedding!Bridesmaid dresses 1

I went through David's for my girls! I gave them to the end of February to have them ordered and we're getting married August 1.

We’re getting married 9/12 and got our dresses from a boutique. They suggested all orders placed by 2/9 with an expected arrival date in mid June - pending no delays with Coronavirus or anything. If you are ordering from a boutique it’s recommended to place the order all at once so the color is guaranteed to be the same. I agree with pp ordering 7 months in advance for boutique dresses but the timeline can definitely change based on who you’re ordering through!

Thanks everyone! They do have options to shops else where instead of David’s Bridal.

6 to 7 months before time bc it all depends from where, color and style.
