Bridesmaid Dresses - Where to buy?!

Jessuly, on August 3, 2014 at 2:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hi! I'm having a hard time looking for bridesmaid dresses. I am going to ask my 5 bridesmaids to purchase their own dresses, so I'm trying to find dresses that are reasonably priced (my goal is $100 or less). I will pick the color and 4/5 styles for the girls to choose from so they can all pick a silhouette they like.

My big problem: I don't know where to shop! David's Bridal doesn't carry the color I want (looking for a bubble gum pink, not a light pink like blush, not a dark pink like fuchsia, and not an orange-pink like coral).

The boutique's I've visited for wedding gowns start at $150, for bridesmaids dressed, but I feel thats a bit pricey. I found jjshouse.com and uwdress.com, but they are only online so my bridesmaids can't try them on.

I live in Bedford, MA but am willing to go to Nashua, NH and out to Natick, MA since I go to school out there. Any suggestions for stores with bridesmaid dresses around $100? Or is it ok to ask them to order online? Thanks!

Have you considered Alfred Angelo? I bought my dress from their store in Danvers, MA and plan on getting my bridesmaids dresses from there. I think their shades tea rose or petunia may be close to what you're looking for.

Google the shops in your area and see what lines of BM dresses they carry and then check those out online. I

Try department stores, Dillard's or macys. And now that it's coming into fall you may have a hard time finding your color. It might benefit you to wait, as horrible as that is.

Have you tried looking on dessy.com? The have lots of colors and you can find lots of styles in the same color so your bridesmaids can find styles that fit them well Smiley smile Also if you have them order online find a store the has a good exchange policy. If you are okay with a vintage look you could try modcloth.com though the girls may have a hard time finding multiple dresses in the right color.

I was going to suggest dessy.com as well! My BMs got their Alfred Sung dresses there... it was cheaper than purchasing at a bridal store/boutique.

Maybe stick to a palette of color instead of just one shade. As long as the dress are in the same color family I think it will look lovely.

I am using weddington way.com ! It allows you to invite your bridesmaids by email to a "showroom" and then you can pick as many as you want for them to comment on and they can vote if they want to. If you want a specific color they group them by colors and fabrics. Only thing is they can't try them on either but they give a sizing chart.

If your wedding is far enough away you can shop for the dresses, write down all the info on them and for sure find them cheaper online. But it takes quite a while for shipping.
