Bridesmaid dresses sold on Amazon???

Rhonda, on January 30, 2016 at 3:05 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

As we're gathering dresses, a friend of mine mentioned that bridesmaid dresses were sold on Amazon. Amazed by this, I went to check it out to see for myself. To my suprise, I found a variety of different styles and colors there. Now call me old school, but I'm not sure how comfortable I am with the bridesmaids dresses ordered from Amazon. What if it's the wrong shade or the quality is beyond horrible? Has anyone ever tried this? I'm wondering if I need to get with the new times or keep it safe

I was wondering this too. I see great deals on wedding dresses and BM dresses that look beautiful, but who knows how it will arrive at your house

Amazon has amazing customer service. You could always buy one and see how it comes out. Also check out reviews before ordering.

Many are available with free returns. I bought a reception dress, veil, and petticoat there and was considering BM dresses from there. I made sure to stick to looking at ones that were Prime eligible (these are usually the ones with free, painless returns) rather the ones that are shipped from China and are merely using Amazon as the storefront.

ETA: Ashley's post reminds me-- sometimes reviewers post pictures, which are really useful! If you scroll down they would be on the right of the reviews if they exist.

I actually just ordered my sister's dress for my wedding off Amazon and we're going to wait and see how it fits and looks before deciding if the other's in mine and FP's parties will order the same dress or not. And if you do order one and aren't pleased, you can always return it just be sure to check the seller's return policy.

Some of mine ordered theirs off Amazon! They were standard Donna Morgan bridesmaid dresses, available at a number of online outlets (weddington way, etc.) and in-store at Nordstrom. Their quality was fine; just like any other dress by that designer! And as someone above said, their customer service is great, so if you did have a problem you should be able to return no problem. I have prime, so I was able to get them sent back without any shipping costs, too! Of course, you can't try them on first via Amazon, but the reviews give you some idea and you can also order 2 sizes and return one, no hassle. I'd recommend it.

I agree with Holly! I have noticed that the ones with the best deals seem to be the ones from China. I wouldn't get it from them primarily since almost all the ones I've looked at don't offer returns even if you don't like the quality or the sizing. If the seller doesn't have a feasible return policy I wouldn't risk getting it from Amazon/anywhere online.

I bought my bridesmaid dress for a casual beachy wedding from Amazon. Granted the dress wasn't from their Bridal section because the bride didn't want anything super fancy, but it arrived in perfect condition and fit great!

I'm usually uneasy buying clothes from Amazon, so I ordered this dress with enough time that if I needed to I could get another BM dress (and had a back-up plan before ordering).

This helps! I think since some of the dresses aren't that pricey it wouldn't hurt to purchase one just to see, but was curious. Thanks everyone
