Bridesmaid Dresses Online

Jennessa, on July 24, 2020 at 12:33 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

Hi ladies!

I'm curious if anyone can help suggest an online shop to purchase dresses. All of my bridesmaids live in another state than me and each other. I'm working to make it convenient for them to find a dress they like. I'm doing different dress with the same color. I've been researching forherandforhim.com and have seen mixed reviews on it. If you have any suggestions please leave them below.

I have heard good things about Birdy Grey, Kennedy Blue and Azazie. I didn't use any of them, but I also had never heard of them until I joined WeddingWire and I already had my bridesmaids dresses by then.

My girls all live in different states too.
We went with David’s bridal after comparing swatches from them and azazie to the generation tux swatches.
Azazie has the try on at home before you buy option which sounded pretty great to me. Essentially you pay to have the dresses shipped to you, you try them on and ship them back. Then you order the size and style that you want. My girls had no problems with ordering from DB either. We spent a lot of time going over the options and ended up picking a dress that actually looks good on all three of them.

Thank you! I am looking at Azazie's website now and I love that they have a try on at home option.

We used Azazie and have nothing but positive things to say about them. They have an at home try on program, which is great!

I think Azazie works wonderfully!! But you could do David's bridal, JJ's house, BHLDN too!

I have heard great things about Azazie. I personally used Amazon because most of my bridesmaids are really struggling financially. The dress was only $30 and still great quality.

We used Azazie. I'm not a David's Bridal fan but I was really happy with Azazie for my bridesmaids.

David's Bridal, Dillard's, Azazie, JJ's House, Amazon, Etsy, LuLu's, Windsor, Fashion Nova, etc. There are a ton of great options (try searching "bridesmaids dresses" on google for some good websites) to choose from! Good luck!!!

Azazie 100%! I’ve worn them for multiple weddings and I’m also using them for mine! I chose the color/fabric/length and then let the girls choose whatever style they felt the most comfortable in. (My friends did the same for their weddings too!) plus, they are affordable. My ONLY suggestion is to order actual sample dresses instead of the fabric color swatches when deciding on color.

Overseas-based companies which are prevalent online can be hit or miss. You get a low price, hit or miss quality and customer service, and have to pay customs on top of that. Even Amazon can be hit or miss without overseas customs.

Places like Etsy (switch search filters to US shops only), Azazie, Cocomelody avoid that and have mostly good reviews.

I went through dessy.com , which has dresses available in bridal shops across the U.S and available to order online. The perk of this is that your BM's can go try the dress on in person. I personally think it's a great company, with really high-quality dresses. They have a million colors to choose from! My MOH, who lives in another state, was able to order her dress in my preferred color. They have an amazing amount of styles and fabrics to choose from, with dresses ranging as low as $50 to $300. I used a 20% off code, so my BM dresses were about $100 each and I got free shipping. They also do not charge tax.

They have some dresses that are ready to ship and then others that will take about 2-3 months to make. The ready to ship dresses will come within 1 week, so that's great if you're in a hurry. My favorite option of theirs are the dresses under $150 - many of which are ready to ship. Ok, I'm going to stop because I sound like a Dessy representative! Smiley tongue

I had the same situation. After talking with my girls it was important to them to try on the style they would buy and they didn’t love shipping costs for try ons. I went with David’s Bridal to allow them to choose, and that allowed me to see the colors/fabrics I wanted in person instead of mailed swatches.

Another vote here for Azazie. However, they suddenly discontinued one of their brand new colors within 2 months...and of course it was one of my bridesmaid colors. I didnt get so much as a warning email. So I had to choose another color which was a bummer.
