Bridesmaid Dresses - Azazie or Db?

Chelsea, on July 22, 2020 at 1:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 24

Hi!

My wedding is next July and I had a friend tell me she ordered her bridesmaids dress 7 months ago and it didn't come in time for a wedding she was in this past weekend. I was thinking about having my girls start to look/ order September? However, due to covid should I just have my girls order from Azazie and send me pictures of the dresses they want to buy. I just care about color. Bridesmaids in Blush and MOH in Dusty Rose. OR do I make an appointment with Davids? Which experience did you like?

I did Azazie and I did Azazie in the height of the pandemic and they were GREAT! The longest dress took 8 weeks to arrive and that was right some shipping error that Azazie corrected.

I loved my azazie experience. Good quality, pretty colors, fast shipping, good prices, at home try on.

My bridesmaids ordered theirs through Azazie! You can order color swatches to make sure the color is exactly what you want. If you setup a showroom on their website and your bridesmaids all order through the showroom within 24 hours of each other, all dresses will be dyed from the same dye lot to guarantee that they'll all be exactly the same color. It was easy to order and all dresses arrived on time.

My experience with DB with bridesmaids was horrible... they wasted our time by not disclosing that the dresses would not be here in time with my wedding being in August 2020 and the fitting was in May when they opened back... the styles were in place before we got there only to find out they will not be here until October when the lady on the phone said July so I found the same styles on Azazie and showed the girls and they ordered and all but 2 have gotten their dresses, With regular production around 4 weeks. Azazie dresses came with a garment bag also and fast production is available (turnaround time is 2 weeks). I’m happy I went with them because I was having a panic attack. Hope this helps!

My girls ordered there dresses mid
March for my original date of 6/27. Most of my girls had their dresses by late April. I had a bridesmaid added on once the date changed. She ordered hers early June and had it first week of July.

I love Azazie! My bridesmaids ordered their dresses from there in the dusty rose! They are in love with them and how comfortable they are. They ordered them in early March at the start of the pandemic and all received them in middle of May. Our wedding is in Sept. They all did the custom size ordering and barely need any major alterations!

For DB I’ve had horrible experiences there. Between the cost of the bridesmaid dress and alterations were double-triple the amount of the Azazie dress. My friend recently got a bridal gown from DB and they lost it. Sadly only hear horror stories about them.

Can you send me a picture of it in the dusty rose?

So I hate the Quarts at DB ! its light purple! Do you think the Azazie Dusty Rose actually looks dusty rose?

I prefer David's Bridal. They have good quality dresses, and they're for the same price basically. I got swatches from Azazie and the colors are very similar to DB, but my girls wanted to go in to try on their dresses. And that way, you don't have to pay $10 for every dress you want to try on and deal with sending it back.

I thought you can send pictures through a DM, guess not. Here is one of my bridesmaids trying on the dress. I can send you more pictures once the wedding happens in September.

My bridesmaids ordered through DB. The experience was just fine, no problems. One of them was out of state, so she ordered the dress she thought she wanted in two different sizes, kept one and returned the other. The other three went shopping with me in person . At the end...with about four weeks left before the wedding I think...my sister had gained weight and no longer could zip her dress. So we ordered a new one on Poshmark, thank goodness it worked out.

I did Azazie and was super happy with the quality & customer service. I've been a DB bridesmaid once and hated it, they are the worst salesmen and it's all overpriced. The appointments are awful too.

Ordered my bridesmaids from Azazie and they are perfect! I have no negative comments about the experience. You can also order “try on” dresses if you find a certain style you like and want the girls to try them on..only $15 and have to ship it back within a certain time. I had ordered 3-4 different styles in the color I wanted.

Even in a non-pandemic time, I would recommend Azazie over DB all the way. Much higher quality, easier process, better customer service, more styles to choose from, etc. The list could go on. I've had great experiences with Azazie, and have heard too many horror stories about DB

So I want to do the same like yours did like they all have different dresses. Are they all same material? Did you just let them pick our what they wanted to wear?

Yes! I ordered 10 swatches, then 3 sample dresses before I picked a color. I went with sky blue. I told the girls: Azazie, Sky Blue, Chiffon Fabric, Long Length. That gave them around 100 options from $89-$169. I also offered to pay for 2 try ons for each bridesmaid (only three girls ordered try ons and they ended up just paying for it because they felt bad haha). I gave them like a year to order so one ordered right away and one ordered two months out. Their customer service was super helpful, they said the color can look different on different fabrics so to stay consistent with fabrics.
