OK. I had plans on getting my dresses last month. But the David's bridal said they'd be ready the WEEK BEFORE the wedding.! Where did you girls get your dresses? Trying not to break my girls budgets. I need dresses and fast. Please help me!

We went to a local boutique called Konja's. (they're awesome!) The girls brand was Impression and I believe the girl told me to give them up to 5 months but they usually arrive between 3-4 months. . She also told me my color swatch would be 3-4 weeks and it was here in 2. They may just be telling you the worse out come.

Bought dresses on Overstock after the girls tried on similar styles at a bridal store. They were a fraction of the price!

It never takes David's Bridal that long, I got my wedding dress earlier than they said, only about 3 weeks from when I ordered. I think you will be fine! If you don't want to order form them, latterdaybride.com has some cute options, although their stock varys.

David's bridal is notorious for telling people a long lead time. I ordered my bridesmaid dress December 2 for a July wedding only for it to come in December 14. I believe the consultant said 3-6 months which is clearly a scare tactic.

Head to a department store, you can do some preview recon work ahead of time through online shopping (or tell me what sort of dress you're looking for and I'll help!) and then send each of your girls to try the dress options on and take pics. We got BM dresses for my sister's wedding at Nordstrom I think, but Macys, Pennys, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's... will have lots of stock and convenient locations, and many (if not all) do alterations on site.

Davids Bridal is definitely notorious for giving longer dates, but I also understand that they give you the longest it would take just in case it does take that long. I've never waited more the two weeks for my dress at Davids.

MoriLee.com I told my girls color and material and let them select a dress they liked that fell into those categories.

ETA: They offer rush shipping (6-8 weeks) for an extra $40 per dress

My wedding is in 70 days, all my bridesmaids are getting dresses from davids bridal. there are two options, you either pick a QUICK SHIP dress or they shop for what is in the store in your colors. Super easy. I almost didnt go with them until the sales lady told me this. The expensive and new dresses usually are special order.

David's Bridal NEVER takes that long for BM dresses. They are notorious for overstating the length of time dresses take. Many of them will come in two weeks after ordering.

If you order online at David's Bridal, they come in like a week. I ordered one for my friend's wedding and all my girls just ordered theirs online last week and they all have them by this week.
