I need advice, my wedding is this year October, I went with all my bridesmaids in April to find their dresses, 7/8 have gotten their dresses, the last BM has not and everytime I ask her she says she doesn’t know when she’s going to get it because she has stuff to pay, we’re in august already and my wedding is in October and I’m getting the same answer and I messaged her asking her if she is going to get it anytime soon if not to lmk to make some changes to the bridal party and no response at all, it’s stressful and at this point I just feel like telling her it’s not going to work

Even if she doesn't get the dress, please don't make changes to the bridal party so late in the game. You'll risk hurting feelings.
How much is the dress? Did you check her budget before doing the dress shopping?
I would probably purchase the dress for her as a gift.

I agree ! She doesnt seem like she is interested. I would tell her politely it isnt going to workout.

Kicking out a bridesmaid will risk ending the friendship, and rightly so. It's really not a nice thing to do to someone.

It feels so last minute to change your bridal party. It sounds like there’s financial issues. Is there anyway you can swing the cost of the dress?

I would ask her again if she still wants to be a BM. If she says, yes, see if you can just buy the dress for her. She could always pay you back in monthly installments if you just can’t afford to buy the dress as a gift for her. If she says, no, just have her be a guest.
