This dress does seem a bit dark for that theme. I think a light silver or a light blue would have more of a Winter Wonderland feel to it.

I think the dresses are beautiful and elegant, and would definitely elevate a winter wonderland theme! If you look at pictures of other weddings with this theme, they can be super elegant or go a bit tacky- the key is usually a larger range of colors in the color palette. Multiple shades of the same color add depth (ie, use dark, light, and medium shades of gray throughout the decor, rather than all the gray being the exact same matchy-matchy color). If you love the dresses, I say go for them! They are beautiful, and can totally work with your theme! Here are some pics of winter wonderland weddings that utilized dark gray....

Anything in the black/silver/charcoal family can absolutely be worn in winter as the pics posted above show. It's a very popular color for that time of year.

The color is beautiful, but looks much more formal than winter wonderland.

The dresses are absolutely gorgeous. Are you planning to have a wrap of sorts like the ones in the pictures Chrysta posted? You could do those in a silver and it’d definitely match the theme.
