Bridesmaid dress problems!

Brittany Ann, on February 28, 2014 at 7:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

So, I bought my girls the dessy convertible dress -- in long. They will be wearing it in chalk pink. I'm not sure if anyone here has worn these dresses before but they are completely see through!! I'm terrified my girls will be standing on the beach and you will be getting more of a show than you bargained for! Has anyone had these dresses and ran into this problem, and if, HOW did you fix it? I'd hate to make my girls shell out more money for slips because who really wears those anymore, especially on the beach. I'm not exactly happy with Dessy at the moment, so any ideas would obviously be GREAT...

Oh, great. My girls ordered the short version of this in midnight but haven't gotten them yet. I hope that they don't run in to the same problem!

The only thing I can think of is a slip. They really are not that expensive, but I understand you not wanting them to spend anymore. Sorry, Im not much help.

I'm not sure if this helps or not but a friend had her girls in them in gray and you couldn't see through them. They did cling to a few of their bottoms though so I would recommend a slip either way.

Nikki, I think you'll be fine because they are dark. Just remind your girls to wear dark undergarments haha I guess I will spend my Friday night researching slips. So much fun!

If I were in your situation I would buy the slips myself. With dresses like that they would likely have wanted to wear slips any way to keep them from clinging.

I don't mind buying them at all, but where should I get them? I actually never bought slips before so this is a serious question...haha

Can bras even be worn with those dresses? I wanted to go that route but the dresses didn't look like they were bra friendly and with a possibly soon-to-be pregnant bridesmaid, I knew that a bra was important.

My opinion, slips for the bottom, and basic cups (you can get them at any fabric store) for the top so that you don't get any nip action in your wedding photos

You can find slips at any department store, I have seen a lot at target and kohls! Target and kohls have lots of different varieties at good prices!

Starlight, they offer these bandeaus that match the dress's color -- I would strongly suggest buying one. It makes wearing a bra easy. If you don't get one, you have to rely on those sticky boobs or no bra at all! haha unless you wear it in a style where a bra would be hidden well of course.
