Bridesmaid dress nightmare

Jeanne, on July 20, 2018 at 2:15 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
So, we were going to order bridesmaid dresses from eBay, but we discovered that they would not come in fast enough. So trying not to freak, my MOH and I went to David's bridal to find ones to order. We picked out two short styles ( I wanted long or tea length). One was $80, the other $150. We sent pics to my two other bridesmaids for their input- one lives out of town, the other had to work. Worker bee balks at price of both, and my offer to buy it. Then goes with her cousin to look and see what size she needs. Tries to get me to order a dress from JCPenney's instead. I know she on a budget, so I looked online, but honestly didn't see anything in the sizes or colors we need/ want. Then worker bee says she will go with what I want. Then decided she doesn't like how the cheaper dress looked, and wants the second one. I am putting her dress and MOH dresses on my David's bridal card and they will make payments to me. Then last night we go to the store to make final decision so we can order, but she doesn't like the Malibu blue on her. I want 3 different colors. Unfortunately, the store is very limited in what colors we can order that will arrive in time. So the choice is put her in horizon blue that she wants or put all three in Regency purple, or be a be-yotch and insist on Malibu for her. She loves the Regency color too. I am beyond frustrated and don't know what to do. Please help.
Thanks

Honestly I would get the dress that I wanted for both of them. I let mine pick out the style, but I picked out the color and especially if it's going on your card, I would pick out what I wanted

Bee-yotches don't provide you with support and love ... Therefore, time to rethink your wedding party.
If you're nashing with a friend or family member over YOUR wedding... They should not be in it.

They will be making payments to me. Not sure if I made that clear. I am struggling because I am not trying to be unreasonable. But there's a fine line between compromise and giving in. We all have our own vision for our wedding.

It's your wedding, put your whole foot down. I'm sure worker bee doesn't mean to but, she needs to understand she is being way more than difficult and that you have already been accommodating to her. The colors shouldn't be negotiable. For I'm sure you have to coordinate to match other things. Put your foot down, so you'd don't regret it later. Just an opinion

I think the color should totally be the brides decision. If a style of dress fits uncomfortably on her that's a different story, but as long as she likes the style of dress, and you are paying, I'd pick the color I wanted for my wedding and move on.

If she totally insists on not wearing the color you want her to then she can be a guest. You were very flexible with the dress and style and offering to pay. If she doesn't like the color you picked for your wedding thats not a decision she gets to make.

I wore bright friggin yellow to my sister's wedding on my basically albino skin, lol. Did I like it? Heck no, but it was my sister's choice and I needed to respect that. I'd have to agree with PPs to put your foot down and pick the color you want her in.

Make her wear Malibu. I wanted all my maids in blush pink and 2 complained so I put those 2 in Marine and the other 2 in blush and I still get kind of upset thinking about it, and I got married almost 2 months ago. It's your day and you need to do what makes you happy. And by agreeing to be in the bridal party she agreed to wear whatever you picked out
    Best of luck to you!
