Would appreciate some input. Wedding date is August 31 2019. Started to tell the girls to look for dresses in March with me. Crickets. Sent a group message and added them all to azazie last week. Still no response, and I was more forceful. One girl already hates the silver color choice and wants me to change it which I am not. I find it hard to search on that website so the fabrics all match. Am I missing something? Go back to just having the 2 dresses I picked and make them choose (or should I have more for 5 bridemaids?). At this point I’m considering just having a maid of honor because I have done everything else on my own. This has been the least fun part for sure

Hmmm I think you’re in a difficult position. You still have close to four months for the wedding though so maybe give them a timeline? For example that you’d like them to have their dresses by the end of June so that if any alterations are needed there is time?

Most importantly, they should be excited and happy for you, so if you’re feeling too stressed and not liking the idea of all the bridesmaids you have two options. Option 1 is to keep them all because you’ve already asked them and it’d be rude to kick them out now. Get together with your ladies and explain you are stressed and would like to at least hear back from them. Option 2 is to threaten to kick them out, though I think this would have to be a drastic reaction for what isn’t a large problem yet since you’re still about four months out.

Ok yes that could help. I can no longer go to David’s bridal because the dresses won’t be available in enough time, but maybe will be ok elsewhere online. Thank you for the suggestion

I told my 10 girls to get a silver, long, chiffon dress from azazie then I didn’t follow up with them or bother them again.

I think you can still do David’s. Mine ordered 2 weeks ago for my September wedding, they were all quoted August 19th, and they all are already in.

I would just tell them what color to get in whatever style and fabric you want and let them know when they should have it ordered by for it to be there in time for the wedding. Then I wouldn’t worry about it, if they don’t have the dress then it should be obvious to them that they can’t be in the wedding so you don’t even have to tell them

I picked a date and everyone went to David's bridal and my BM's picked one out and everyone liked it...maybe go to a store instead of online if you can?

I picked out three or four dresses and let my sister who is one of the bridesmaids pick her favorite and that is the dress we are going with. My other bridesmaid lives in SC and I live in TX so it was just to take my sister dress shopping and pick one from my choices.
