Hello all! I've decided on hunter green to be my bridesmaid color. I'm located in Boston, MA and originally looked at David's Bridal since it seems affordable ($99-$175) and there are generally one in most cities. The closest color they have to hunter green is called Juniper. It's a brighter green than I hoped for. I also don't necessary love the dress styles that they offer.

While on Pinterest, I discovered Park & Fifth which is a dress brand located in Canada. I LOVE the color, it's on point. The dresses are a bit more $175-$216 and Fedex shipping to the US costs $23. They offer virtual fittings online and have a waistband guide. They claim many of their dress styles have the same waistband which allows them to obtain only one measurement from customers. Here's the link to the styles: https://parkandfifthco.com/collections/hunter-green I like how they have mid length options and cute styles that could actually be worn again, I'd let them choose whatever one they wanted out of 11 styles.

How would you feel if you were a bridesmaid and give the Park & Fifth option? Does it seem daunting not to be able to try on dresses in store? (BM would have to cover cost to ship back to Canada if ordered the wrong size). Or do these more modern style make it worth it? Please note: none of my bridesmaids are plus size/big chested.

Thank you in advance for your comments/thoughts! If you can recommend a different vendor that uses hunter green, please share, I've searched high and low. I'd like to keep the dresses under $220.

If you're in Boston, where do your BMs live? I'm in Boston too... it honestly is 100% unreasonable and out of the picture to drive to Canada for a girls weekend if they have a store close-ish to Montreal... or maybe a girls weekend in Toronto? Sounds crazy, but if you include it in a fun non-wedding related event maybe its worth it.

No problem. I have to ship a lot of things to Canada for work & the paperwork can be brutal. I went w/ DB too - prices are affordable, and they are easy to order.

I was in a wedding where we ordered through Renz Rags on Etsy. Everything was custom made to our measurements. No trying anything on. It was fine, even for the woman who had given birth like six weeks before the wedding.

I love the color green you chose in the photo. My bridesmaid dresses are Vera Wang from David's Bridal in Forest (hunter green) .... if you want to check it out... BUT IMO you have a much richer and more glorious shade.

Hmmm as a fashion designer, I am skeptical about Fifth & Park only requiring a waist measurement. The styles are gorgeous but I’ve never seen a brand offer sizing that way. People’s busts and hips are generally in proportion but their waists are not necessarily in proportion to the bust or hip. It might be that they sell their dresses with extra room at the bust and hip, so in addition to paying for shipping, your bridesmaids might have to pay for alterations.

I don’t think that returns and exchanges would be that difficult to Canada, however, if you want to give it a shot.

I got a bridesmaid dress from JJs House and the fit is not great. The waist and hip were fine but the bust is absolutely massive because they do not ask for certain points of measurement for the bust. eShakti is similar, asks for detailed measurements, and all custom size styles are returnable, but the aesthetic is maybe more MOB.

Lulu's has dresses in a similar color range to this. They have 100% refunds and free return shipping if it doesn't fit. Just something to consider if your bridesmaids are on a budget!
