Bridesmaid dress decision regret

Mrs.B to be, on August 28, 2015 at 11:26 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

I've been a pretty stress free bride thus far, and hope to try and stay that way for most of the planning.

This week I posted about some issues with my bridesmaid dresses. I'm starting to regret telling everyone to pick their own dress in my material and colour choice. First some picked long, some picked short which I thought I was fine with, but then I realized I didn't like the short and kindly asked the girls who chose short if they would mind going long (I admitted it was my fault and they were happy to change)

When I went to Davids, I said I wanted everyone in chiffon and grey, my consultant knew that. I LOVE everyone's dress choices, and they were all able to pick something that flatters them which is exactly what I wanted. BUT now I've come to find out through a different consultant that some girls have chiffon and some have mesh... I'm not fabric savvy and didn't even notice (neither did my girls!!) but you'd think the consultant would have said something! MORE IN COMMENTS

I think they look the exact same, and wasn't worried about it. But the other consultant says that it will dye differently and chiffon will be lighter! w.t.f.

Has anyone else done choose your own style? Has anyone ordered from Davids and had different materials? Did it look off?

Not much I can do, so I'm not going to stress about it, but I wish my consultant had pointed it out to us given that she knew my vision.

It will look the same. I didn't order at Davids but my sister had Satin (MUCH different than Mesh) top when everyone else had chiffon and it looks fine. There were two different types of Chiffon and you truly couldn't tell at all

My girls are in mesh and chiffon from DB and I cannot tell the difference between the dresses. People will only notice that they look nice, and feel good in their dresses!
