Bridesmaid buying?

Ashlynn, on January 19, 2025 at 3:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
So, I've already told the bridesmaids that they have to buy their own dresses and shoes. I'm paying for their nails and hair to be done. Should my bridesmaids pay for the little things like wedding day emergency kits and other things.....???

I wouldn't ask them to pay for a wedding day emergency kit. You could put together one kit containing things that anyone can use if needed, or you could put together a mini kit for each bridesmaid. The bridesmaids can also each bring whatever they think they might need, but otherwise, this isn't something that the wedding party usually pays for.

I would think you only need one emergency kit. You're all getting ready in one room. Those tiny pre-packed ones are usually single-use plastics, thin needles that bend, and crappy threads that snap. You can put together one big thing out of better quality items, for less money than it would be to buy a bunch of chintzy little individual bags.

I've only ever been a groomsman, but that's not the sort of thing I've been asked to cover. I've paid for what I'm wearing and chipped in toward the pre-wedding parties. Whenever I've run little errands for other people's weddings, they've always offered to pay me back.

I wouldn't have them pay for that, but suggest it as an option if they would like to purchase it. If you really want them to have it then I think you should pay for it
